  • General Reminder (2)In case of emergency, schools should report to the TSA Administration Team at 3628 8181 immediatelySchools may also call EDB 24-hour hotline 2891 0088 for any school closure announcement under bad weather condition

  • Special Arrangements (1)WS1 Non-Chinese Speaking Students (NCS)Take part in the whole assessmentMaths paper in English provided if not specified, schools may opt for Maths in either languageWS2 Newly-arrival ChildrenTake part in the whole AssessmentNo special administrative arrangements will be provided by HKEAA

    If EDB announces that primary schools are to be closed, the delivery will be postponed to 5 May 2008 (P.3) and 12 May 2009 (P.6)

  • Quality Assurance CheckOn 5 May (P.3) and 12 May (P.6)HKEAA staff will visit schools selected at randomTo ensure packing and delivery of assessment materials has been properly completed by the courier

  • Pre-assessment PreparationRemind students to bring their student handbooks on the assessment dayPrepare 3 sets of student list for each class with Chinese names, English names and class numbers of all students for each pair of Oral Examiners, and the AAA for attendance taking

  • Student Sample ListAll WS0, WS3-WS7 students are not included in the Student Sample ListIf these students are still found on the Student Sample List, AAS can replace them with the students on reserve and report to the Oral Examiners via AAAThe Student Sample List is generated from the school data submitted as at 17 Mar 2009

  • Student Sample ListStart from the lowest class no. along the appropriate column

  • Support to Non-Chinese Students in CAV Assessment1 copy of bilingual (Chinese and English) instructions for CAV paper will be provided to each school with WS1 student(s)AAS can photocopy the instructions for use by any WS1 student if selected

  • Support to Non-Chinese Students (NCS)Additional bilingual (Chinese and English) instructions for all Chinese assessment papers will be provided to each WS1 studentEnough copies of instructions will be put into the Stationery Box. AAS can distribute the instructions to their WS1 students if necessary

  • Support to Non-Chinese Students (NCS)AAS please ask invigilators to collect the bilingual instructions after the assessment and put them into the Envelopes for Surplus Materials

  • Procedures Related to Onscreen Marking (OSM)Students are required to stick barcode labels onto the cover and inner pages of their worked question-answer booklets (QA booklets)

  • Sticking Barcode Labels (1)Ask the students to check their information on the barcode label

  • Special Arrangements Students Requiring Enlarged QPs (2)In English Listening Assessment, students may be given a sub-paper different from that of their classmates. In such case, schools should arrange for them to be assessed in a separate room or put them in a class using the same sub-paperNo barcode label is required on enlarged answer scripts as they cannot be scanned

  • Special Arrangements Students Taking Assessments Separately (1)

    Will be given the same sub-papers for Listening (+2CDs)Assorted papers for other assessments

    Will not be provided a separate set of barcode labelsTheir scripts should be returned to their respective classes and Invigilators should then help sticking barcode labels for these students
