Dear Region 10 Curriculum and Instruction Leaders, As a new member of the Region 10 Teaching and Learning team, it has been a pleasure to serve you this year. I’ve enjoyed working alongside approximately 70 staff members who are committed to offering services and solutions that help meet your students’ unique needs. Through our partnership with districts and campuses, we deliver customized services that in turn help you provide rich, rigorous learning experiences. We are, as always, also committed to providing quality trainings along with the very best research-based pedagogy and timely support to you, our valued clients. This brochure references the bank of over 400 specific training offerings that our highly-qualified consultants can customize to meet your needs. Region 10’s Teaching and Learning team seeks to support you with the innovative solutions, sound pedagogical practices, and top-flight service. There is a seismic shift happening throughout Region 10. Schools are transforming their teaching

and learning practices to better address the learning needs of today‘s student. It is our belief, that in order

to support this necessary transformation, R10 must redesign how Professional Learning is delivered and model relevant, innovative approaches in areas of

teaching, learning and leadership.

PURPOSE

The redesign of the Professional Learning model is grounded in the beliefs: w We are learning designers and facilitators. w We guide teachers & leaders in the curation of their own learning. w Learning at the highest level is achieved through experiences.

It is our belief, that in order to support the needs of today’s student, R10 must deliver relevant and innovative professional learning that is grounded in research and reflects best practices.

WHY?

The aim of R10 is to shift towards a 70/20/10 model. The learning experiences offered should strive to be 70% EXPERIENTIAL; 20 % SOCIAL;

and 10% STRUCTURED.

Strategic Support Services Cooperative provides district and campus personnel access to ongoing, comprehensive support aimed at improving systems and processes for sustainable success. The package is designed to coordinate services based on goals and interventions identified in the Data-to-Interventions training. Fifteen (15) service days are highly customized based on district needs.

Migrant Education Program Shared Service Arrangement (SSA)

The Migrant Education Program Shared Service Arrangement (SSA) provides services to districts with identified migrant students. Depending on the level of membership, this can include migrant Identification and Recruitment (ID&R) services, New Generation System data entry and record-keeping and required Title I, Part C student and parent services coordination.
