A draw against Greta PS 4-4 A loss against Marks Point PS 4-0 A draw against Beresfield PS 8-8 A win against Mayfield East PS 8-4 A win against Wiripaang PS 16-8 Coaching of the team was again shared between Senior Consta-ble David Coyle, Mark Clemson and local guru Col McCarthy. “The results achieved this year exceeded our expectations. Our teams are getting better year after year.” Principal Clemson said. “To say I’m proud of our boys and girls is an understatement- I’m thrilled how they performed”. Tea Garden’s progression in the knockout came down to the last preliminary match of the day. A draw in the game between Ber-esfield and Greta would have been enough to see our team through to the quarter finals. Unfortunately, this was not meant to be with Greta PS being victorious and progressing through. Re-gardless, the kids had an awesome time staying true to the old adage that it doesn’t matter whether you win or lose as long as you do your best and are having fun.

PSSA Girls Netball Our girls netball team played against Medowie Public School on Tuesday. The girls did the school proud in both behaviour and sportsmanship although we were unfortunately defeated on this occasion.

Approaching our School – dealing with complaints and resolving issues. Parents are reminded that they should not approach other children in the playground. If issues are present, please discuss these with the class teacher, stage supervisor or school principal. Please do not approach other children at school.

Medication at school In accordance with Departmental policy, no medication, other than prescribed asthma inhalers as part of an asthma manage-ment plan or epipen use as part of an ASCIA plan, can be self-administered by students. If your child requires medication to be administered during school hours, it can only be done so by school staff. Where this is required, application must be made to the principal in writing.

Walk Safely to School Perfect weather last Friday 20th May, saw 30 students participate in the Walk Safely to School Day. Twelve students, three parents and two teachers made the scenic trek across the Singing Bridge from Hawks Nest and were once again treated to manta rays, a swordfish and some flathead in the river. The parents and kids enjoyed the walk they have suggested we do the walk on a more regular basis. Students walking the Tea Gardens route were unhappy to find a young echidna injured by the road. Thanks to ambulance officer Josh Davy for coming to the rescue and taking the unique little native to the vet for us. Thank you to all the parents, students and teachers who joined in the walk. A great way to keep fit and healthy. Debbie Booth Coordinator
