This pattern is for personal use only

Yarn:

Scheepjes Whirl 215 g.

I used aprox 140 g of a cake 776 Rosewater Cocktail.

Hook: 3,0 mm.

Size:

My shawl is about 160 x 115 x 115 cm in size. It’s very easy to adjust the size of this

shawl with the number of repeats you make.

Ch 4 (= 1 dc + ch 1), 1 dc in the same dc. Ch 2, 1 sc in

next dc. Ch 2.

{1 dc + ch 2 + 1 dc} in the ch-2 sp of the tip.

Ch 2, 1 sc in next dc. Ch 2, {1 dc + ch 1 + 1 dc} in the 3rd

ch in the beginning of previous row. Turn.

Row 3:

Ch 6 (= 1 dc + ch 3), 1 dc in next dc. Ch 3, 1 dc in next

dc. Ch 1.

{1 dc + ch 2 + 1 dc} in the ch-2 sp of the tip.

Ch 1, 1 dc in next dc. Ch 3, 1 dc in next dc, ch 3, 1 dc in

the 3rd ch in the beginning of previous row. Turn.

Row 5:

Ch 6 (= 1 dc + ch 3), 1 dc in next dc. (Ch 3, 1 dc in next

dc) until the last dc on the side. Ch 1.

{1 dc + ch 2 + 1 dc} in the ch-2 sp of the tip.

Ch 1, 1 dc in next dc. (Ch 3, 1 dc in next dc) until the

second last dc on the side. Ch 3, 1 dc in the 3rd ch in the

beginning of previous row. Turn.

Repeat row 4-5 until the shawl has the size you like. Then you crochet the flowers for the

border.

If you prefer to make a simple picot edge instead of making flowers, there is an

instruction for that on the last page. Don’t cut the yarn if you are making the picot border.

The flower edge:

You crochet the flowers one by one and join them on the shawl when making the last

row.

Flower 1:

Start:

Ch 4, sl st in the 4th ch from the hook.

Row 1:

Ch 1, (1 sc in the ch-ring, ch 3) 5 times. Sl st in the 1st sc

of the row.

Picot Edge:

All stitches are made in the front loop only.

Ch 3, sl st in the same dc. (Sl st in next 3 ch, {sl st + ch 3 + sl st} in next dc) until the

second last dc on the side. Sl st in next ch, sl st in next dc.

{Sl st + ch 3 + sl st} in next ch. Ch 5, {Sl st + ch 3 + sl st} in next ch.

Sl st in next dc, sl st in next ch. {Sl st + ch 3 + sl st} in next dc. (Sl st in next 3 ch, {Sl st +

ch 3 + sl st} in next dc, until the second last dc on the side. Sl st in next 3 ch, {Sl st + ch 3

+ sl st} in the 3rd ch in the beginning of previous round.
