Program objectives

Identify, trial, deploy and mainstream the implementation of “cutting-edge” educational technologies and learning management services to support teaching and learning in TAFE NSW.

Capitalise on previous TAFE Online (TOL/TOL2) programs with a shift in focus to service delivery, capability building and the implementation of educational technologies to benefit teaching and learning.

Clear focus on embedding flexible delivery, e-learning and innovative new delivery practice across TAFE NSW to establish it as the mainstream form of delivery.

systems: • implementing personalised services • investing in TAFE technologies

• Position TAFE NSW Institutes for the current, emerging and future delivery challenges posed by industry,

enterprises and individuals.

The fundamental aim of this project is to deliver the e-learning systems, services and capability building required to support the mainstream implementation of flexible, personalised learning including e-learning in TAFE NSW.

TAFE NSW VLE 3Service objectives and needs addressed by VLE:

• More services are available beyond the classroom/campus including the workplace and remote or regional areas

• More diverse ways to deliver customised quality teaching and learning solutions

• More services are customised around individual learner needs rather than via traditional “course” boundaries

• Faster access to the latest teaching and online learning resources, tools and technologies

• Increased service flexibility enabling increased engagement by TAFE staff in community and industry capability building
