Why might IPC be an appropriate publisher for a new music magazine? What sorts of music/type of magazines might they be likely to publish? Why might alternative publishers like Bauer be appropriate?

IPC are appropriate publishers for a new music magazine because they associate with a huge range of magazines and they produce various magazines. They also associate with a massive amount of audiences and different genres so they would definitely be appropriate for a publisher of a new music magazine.

The sorts of music/type of magazines they would be likely to publish are mainstream magazines that target large audiences’ such as ‘NME’. However ‘IPC’ still offer

magazines in to Niche audiences such as: Bird Keeper, Nuts, Classic Boat and many more magazines.

An alternative publisher such as Bauer may be more appropriate because they publish more music magazine such as ‘Kerrang’ this is because they aim to produce more music orientated genres. So, this would further create evidence that Bauer would be a better publisher than IPC.
