What defines an audience?

Demographics

• Quantitative aspects of a specific community

• Quantitative (definition) - can be counted, measured, tracked, observed.

• Examples- location, age, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, education level, hobbies

Psychographics

• What/how an audience thinks, feels & behaves (qualitative)

• Qualitative (definition) - descriptions or distinctions based on some quality or characteristic rather than on some quantity or measured value

• Examples- values, morals, lifestyle, views on issues, how they use products, passions/interests
