Present simple definition: This is a verb tense

used to express actions that take place in the

present and with a certain frequency , that is,

every day, every morning.

The Simple Present ( present simple ) is a form

of the verb which shows that the action takes

place in the present.Examples

study English every day

Lisa dances every day.

The Simple Past ( past tense ) is a form of the verb shows that the action happened in the past.Examples

She sang on my birthday last week

Sophia y yo nos conocimos ayer.

The Future Simple ( simple future ) is a form of the

verb which shows that the action will occur in the

future.

Examples

If you study hard, you are going to finish

in only two years.

We will finish the cours anyways.

PROGRESSIVE means " continuing " .

A Progressive Tense ( progressive tense ) is a form of the

verb to show that the action is in progress. In other words,

it means that continues .

Present Continuous Tense

It is used to express a continued or ongoing action at present time. It

expresses an action which is in progress at the time of speaking.

Present Continuous tense is also called Present progressive tense

Examples: TO GO, "present continuous"

Afirmative Negative Interrogative

. I am going . I am not going . Am I going?

. You are going . You aren't going . Are you going?

She is Reading her book.

She is playing the piano.

Past Continuous

Continuous Past tense is describing actions

that were being made at a time in the past it

referred to and then continued. Past

Continuous is constructed with the auxiliary

verb "to be" in its past form and the main verb

in the infinitive with the ending ING

Examples

When I left, he was studying the lesson.

Yesterday he was studying English

Future Continuous tense : is used to describe an action that will occur in the future, which may or may not be specified , and will continue to develop at that time.Examples. She will be visiting her mother. This evening I will be watching TV. This time is the simple future form of the auxiliary verb "to be " plus the

present participle ( present participle ) of the main verb.Examples. We wiIl be sleeping They will get come sun The negative is formed by interposing the negation "not" between the

auxiliary and the main verb ( attention to placement between the two components of the auxiliary verb "will" and "be" )

Examples I wiIl not be cooking. You will not be dancing The interrogative form is built starting with "will" , followed by the subject of

the infinitive "be" and the main verb.Examples Will you be listening music? Will we be playing football?
