With a drive and passion for entertaining audiences, Kevin Hamilton expresses his desire for cultural enrichment and to entertain people as co-founder of Southwest Soul Circuit based in Tucson, Arizona. As President/CEO and Music Director, Kevin’s unique position as chief strategist and performing artist enables him to know the ins and outs of producing events. As a singer/pianist, he has performed over 3,000 live performance hours throughout the United States and the Far East. Kevin has also produced hundreds of hours of live concerts, festivals and studio recordings through various businesses over the past 20 years

As music director for Southwest Soul Circuit, Kevin is responsible for providing music contracting services and musical direction. With every event, his goal is to find the perfect balance between fun, entertaining events with cultural enrichment, all with a specific goal in mind. As the music director for a local church, Kevin coordinates rehearsals, service music, morale building events and church ministry with a choir and band. His approach to everything that he does is to uplift, inspire and entertain audiences and congregations through cultural and spiritual enrichment.

As a performer, Kevin started singing at the age of 5 years old in Dallas, Tx. and never stopped. Singing in church and community choirs, Kevin quickly found himself singing in congregations, auditoriums and theaters for audiences of over a thousand people. At 12, he led choir songs in the Dallas Baptist Training Union’s “Youth for Christ” Choir of over 600 kids, giving big exposure in the Dallas church community. Shortly after joining the Air Force in 1989, Kevin started playing piano for the Baptist Church Service at Chapel #1 on Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. This on-the-job training created a sink-or-swim environment which accelerated his growth as a pianist. While in Japan, Kevin learned music direction while working with various plays produced by a U.S. service member in Okinawa. Upon his honorable separation from the military in 1994, Kevin was asked to headline a concert tour of Kyushu Island, playing 8 shows in 3 cities over a 10 day time in various cities to include Miyazaki and Oita.

In 1997, Kevin started his formal collegiate training at Tennessee State University (TSU) then transferred to the University of Arizona (U of A) in 1999. He took advantage of living in America’s Music city, Nashville, TN, by playing for various Gospel legends and touring. As assistant choir director at TSU, Kevin introduced various forms of Gospel music to the University choir. As a student at the U of A, Kevin landed principal roles in various full operas as a Baritone including the role of “Maseto” in Mozart’s ‘Don Giovanni”. “All that I do, I put my all into it” says Kevin. “I not only want to impact peoples lives in a way that raises their quality of life, I also want to make a significant contribution that will live long after I’m gone in every community I visit.”

Name: Tanishia HamiltonHometown: St. Louis, MO

Tanishia began singing at the age of 3 in the church choir. She was heavily influenced by her father who is also singer and active in the church. While matriculating through school, singing took a back seat.

Obtaining an MBA with an emphasis in information technology, Tanishia learned her leadership and management skills as a pioneer member of an IT leadership development program with a top aerospace/defense company during her time there over several years. Serving as the world-wide face of diversity for this company, Tanishia transitioned into her new career by co-founding the Southwest Soul Circuit.

Tanishia met Kevin Hamilton in 2004 while singing in a local community choir. Kevin hired the community choir she was singing in for a play he had written and putting in production at the Gaslight Theatre. The rest is history or shall we say, still being written. Tanishia is responsible for strategic planning while managing the operations, staff and events of the Southwest Soul Circuit. She is accountable for management of all facets of production and promotions to include finance, staff/volunteer, marketing campaign, talent acquisitions and the like all while performing as an Independent Recording Artist. She fell in love with performing and entertaining and began to grow her singing abilities. Today you will find Tanishia singing side by side with Kevin across the country. With a rare angelic voice, Tanishia captivates audiences with her natural delivery.
