The SpeakerT pMy name is Dean Abrahamson; I retired as professorof energy & environmental policy from the Universityof energy & environmental policy from the Universityof Minnesota in 1998. My first professional job, afterphysics graduate school, was as a reactor physicist. Ithen spent a few years as senior research scientist atHoneywell before going to medical school. My firsttenured appointment was in the Univ of MinnesotaSchool of Medicine. One thing led to another, alongthe way I read some biology and economics, and Ithe way I read some biology and economics, and Iended up at what is now the Humphrey Institute ofPublic Affairs where I focused on energy policy andfor about ten years worked on climatic change &wrote a couple of books I’ve taught energy policywrote a couple of books. I’ve taught energy policysince the early 1970s. I’ve been a Trustee of the NRDCsince 1972.
