PADDLING TECHNIQUE • Body Positioning On Surf Board• Arm Stroke Rhythm & Placement • Look Where You Want To Go• Remember To Breathe

POP UP• Push Up• Place Back Foot • Place Front Foot• Stand Up Slowly

RIDING POSITION • Slightly Wider Than Shoulder Width• Foot Positioning• Bend at The Knees• Look where you surf! • Hands Hover Over Each Corresponding Rail• Weight Shifts Forward & Backward• Enjoy The Ride!

SURF SKILLS

SURF SKILLS• Must perform the proper paddle technique on 3 different waves (with physical & verbal assistance) • Must perform the proper pop up on 3 different waves (with physical & verbal assistance) • Must perform the proper riding technique on 3 different waves (with physical & verbal assistance)

OUTSIDE SKILLS• Must know all parts of the surf board, and their functions • Must be able to safely control the surf board while walking out to white water waves• Must display understanding of daily weather hazards
