E-ZEE SHIFT

The automatic transmission is controlled by a very accurate direction and flow of oil, through the Hydraulic Distributor or Valve Body as it is sometimes referred to. Repair or rebuilding of the automatic transmission requires an overhaul of the Hydraulic distributor to facilitate a competent repair.

Until now, in some instances, a simple cleaning process could be sufficient. This is no longer the case with new generation transmissions.

Control for the transmission is achieved by driving electro hydraulic solenoids by variable current and monitored by a ‘closed loop’ control system.

Using a valve body test bench is a good way to check the operation but control of the solenoids is also critical. Data analysis to show the hydraulic operation is imperative. Data gathered at predetermined positions and readings taken for comparison will in most cases alert the operator to deficiencies in the operation.

Although the valve body test machine should have the capability to provide sufficient oil pressure and volume, the need for a control and DAQ system that can emulate the vehicles conditions is critical to be able to accurately test modern transmissions.

With E-Zee Shift as your controller choice, all of the above can be achieved. Control of the solenoids can be determinedto emulate the vehicles computer as well as the Data Acquisition System E-Zee DAQ which will generate accurate reports.  These reports can be stored for warranty verification and administration purposes.

AS YOUR VALVE BODY MACHINE CONTROLLER

E-Zee Shift will also allow the operator to check functions directly via the CAN Bus. This will also let the operator identify the vehicle that the unit (Mechatronic) is programmed for.

The E-Zee Shift DAQ system can be fitted to any existing Valve Body machine to enhance its performance.

E-ZEE DAQ

The E-Zee DAQ data acquisition expansion module provides a compact and convenient way to acquire multiple channels of data through a single interface.

When used in conjunction with Transmission E-Zee Shift, the E-Zee DAQ module enables you to view and record on screen digital readouts of live data such as...

Oil PressuresOil Temperature andOil Flow.

The data is automatically acquired at selected intervals throughout the test and then plotted onto a graph and table for reference and printing. The data can be compared to that of a known good transmission.

E-Zee DAQ Module is available in 2 models;

E-Zee DAQ 16For use with a valve body machine where multiple readings need to be acquired (Max 16).

E-Zee DAQ 4For use on a dyno or on a vehicle where only a minimal number of readings are required (Max 4).

SENSOR MONITOR

The Sensor Monitor from BlueReach not only gives you the ability to test 2 Wire Inductive and 3 Wire Hall Effect sensors, it is also able to test the latest 2 Wire Active Hall Effect sensors. The Sensor monitor features an L.E.D bar graph display and buzzer to alert the operator to any problems. The New Integrated Circuitry gives the unit increased accuracy with a response time of 20ms. PHAZE DRIVE

Do you work on CVT Transmissions?How do you test the stepper motor?

It is one of the main control items in the valve body. It requires a Quad Q Drive system to operate it. Using this ‘Quad Q’ Drive technology, the all new Phase Drive from BlueReach, now allows re builders to test the stepper motor from vehicles fitted with CVT transmissions, such as the ZF VT1F CVT (Mini Cooper).

E-ZEE DYN

The E-Zee Dyno is the most technologically advanced dyno available to the industry today.

This ‘End of Line Test Bench’  has been specifically designed for testing the automatic transmission from light to medium duty vehicles. This latest advancement has the capacity, via the adjustable and rotating transmission mounting point, to adapt to most rear-wheel drive transmissions.

This makes conversion between front-wheel drive and real-wheel drive transmissions a simple task. The chassis for the test bench incorporates two separate oil reservoirs to allow separation of synthetic oils from standard transmission oils.

The Dyno comes with the award winning “E-Zee Shift” test and control system as standard. Pressure and control is via a ‘Touch Screen’.

TRANSMISSION DYNO

Reports can be generated to give multi views of the test data including shift graphing or simple comparisons. This is the only system that allows the testing of Automatic Transmissions that are CAN enabled and use embedded Mechatronic technology. Simulated load conditions allow the testing of shift point and response time, up and downshift points, converter lockup, transmission line pressure and converter stall. The operator can easily identify oil and pressure leaks, check hydraulic and system controls via the digital instrument software and make adjustments while the transmission is mounted on the tester.

The unit incorporates an electric drive motor and a number of motor sizes are available. Outputs are interfaced with the latest ‘Eddy Current’ load cells which provide variable load and resistance to simulate road conditions.

SL TEMPLATE

The Aisin 55-50 solenoid adjustment template allows the user to quickly and effectively adjust the internal SL solenoids.

After repairing the Valve Body and re bushing the SL solenoids, they will need adjusting to correct shift quality problems. Using this tool, you will accurately drill 3 holes that line up with the SL solenoids.

The adjustment matrix has been produced after extensive testing at the factory and has been compiled to allow you to identify shift quality problems and adjust the solenoids to help to eliminate the problems.

A simple threaded rivet is inserted into the drill hole to eliminate leakages.

SOLENOID Remanufacture

Our industry approved alloy composite bushes are essential for the rebuilding of Aisin Warner solenoids.

Now you can effectively remanufacture troublesome solenoids from...VW 09D, 09G,K,M (TR60)AF40 (TF80)55-50SN ...and more using our extremely hard wearing composite alloy bushes. After extensive research we found that the OE fitted  bushes in the inductor housing were distorting at high temperatures causing the actuating shaft in the solenoid to be in the wrong position. This contributed to the cause of many of the well known problems that we are seeing today, including ‘hard shifting’ and ‘slip’.

Our bushes have been designed to replace the worn ‘OE’ bushes. Many hours and kilometres of field testing allowed us to evaluate the materials that we used to produce these replacement bushes. Use the included reamers to ‘size’ the bush after fitting to the solenoid.
