    ANYTHING IN COMMON?

Get your students to approach other students in the class (or, if youteach a large class, split your students into small teams) andfind something in common - one thing they did or did not do thissummer. Have students use other verbs than the verb “do” in theirquestions (e.g. play, eat, go, find). Once one common thing with onestudent is found, they cannot use it with other students.

    PICS, PICS!

Get students to choose and show a pic/collage of pics they took this summer (10 seconds per image). Stopand ask each person/group to remember as many ofthe different items that came up as possible in a 30second period.

Show the pic/pics again and have them guess whereand when they were taken.

GUESS WHAT I DID THIS SUMMER

    MAKE A VIDEO

Ask students to tell something that did or didn’t happenthis summer. The class has to guess which story is madeup.

Instead of a usual what-did-you-do-this-summer Q&A session, give some information about your summer in the mind mapshowing some facts about you. Ask learners to make guesses whatthese numbers/words stand for.

Have students draw their own mind maps and guess what theirpartners did this summer.

Get students to make a Google search story video abouttheir summer and get other students to reconstruct thestory. See more in TELL ME A STORY, GOOGLE.
