  • The YmcA leadership

    Our team of summer staff are caring and trained adults who have experience working with children . All staff are certified in CPR, First Aid and have completed up to 30 hours of training . Our staff have also passed criminal record and child abuse clearances . Every employee of the YMCA of Honolulu has completed the Armatus Online Child Abuse Prevention Training, a mandatory program specifically designed for safety and risk reduction in the workplace .

    Proper ID must be shown to pick up your child and we will only release your child to an approved and authorized person .

  • Registration InformationRegister now for best choice of programs and if needed, an affordable payment plan or financial assistance . Register online at www.ymcahonolulu.org or in person at the branch of your choice . You must register in person if you are applying for financial assistance for any YMCA program . Register by May 17 to receive Early Bird Rates .

    Confirmation and Program InformationSummer packets will be mailed to confirm enrollment and provide details/program information and lunch/snack options (available for full day programs) after we receive yourregistration .

    Cancellation PolicyShould you need to make changes to your childs registration, call the appropriate YMCA branch as soon as possible . Cancellations must be made in writing and received prior to the start of the program. Cancellations are subject

    to a processing fee as follows: prior to the start of the program refund less 30% (or up to $50), on the first day of program prorated refund less 30% (or up to $50), no refunds or credits after the first day of program . A $25 fee will be applied for any checks or credit card payments returned from your financial institution due to insufficient funds .

    Payment PlansContact your local branch to arrange payment plans at no additional cost .

    Financial AssistanceThe YMCA believes its programs and services should be accessible to everyone . Through the generosity of donors, the YMCA is able to provide financial assistance to those families in

    need . Applications for financial assistance will be available at your local YMCA branch . Financial assistance will be awarded based on availability of funds . Please submit your forms by May 1 . Acceptance of applications submitted after this date is subject to funds availability. Please check

    with your Y branch as some are not accepting applications after thisdate .

    DHS Reimbursement PaperworkParents who are receiving DHS benefits and need their DHS 918 Child Care Certificate and Provider Confirmation Form completed must pay the program fees in full . Once payment is made at your YMCA Branch, the DHS 918 Form may be submitted . All information must be completed including the Workers Name,

    Unit/Tel, and Client ID# . Incomplete forms will be returned delaying the registration process . Please contact your YMCA branch for moreinformation .

    Medical RequirementsTo assist the Y in providing a safe environment and the best care possible for our participants, parents/guardians are asked to provide information on any medical needs that their child/teen may have (e .g . food allergies, physical limitations) . This information should be provided on the Registration Form or in writing prior to the child/teen starting theprogram .

    Children and teens who are not registered students in a Department of Education or licensed independent school in the State of Hawaii (out of state, international) are required to provide proof of Tuberculosis clearance by a license physician at the time of registration . For foreign language assistance, please inquire at the Y branch .
