I am a highly motivated & friendly individual with a good sense of humour. I love to work with a team & understand how significant this attribute is

within a Creative Studio or Agency. Since my earlier years I have always had a strong interest & interaction in Visual Arts & Design. Creativity & Quality

are two goals that I strive towards & I always take pride in my work. In addition, from my 4 years of professional experience at Trovato design, I have

learnt to be flexible, broad-minded, to think laterally & of course, to be mindful of the deadlines. My knowledge of design is focused within the field of

creative print media; however, I am determined to better accustom myself to digital & 3D media when the opportunity arises. My Photoshop skills are advanced

& I have proficient knowledge in Indesign as well as Illustrator. I have worked with well known & respected companies in Sydney such as Channel Seven,

Qantas Airways & Sydney State Transit. Career wise, I wish to continue learning & finding new ways to execute projects creatively, technically & efficiently.

XFACTOR is a worldwide show that has been implemented onto Australian Television.

At Trovato Design, I accompanied the Creative Director in the re-illustration of the XFACTOR logo,

the retouching of the four judges to the left, & the artworking of a combination of elements that

were used in several forms of media. The bus wrap, as seen below, shows an example of the

complex artworking proceedure I was solely responsible for.

GlAdiATORs: After a detailed briefing by Channel 7, we were required to adapt our print advertising

to television commercials already produced. The brief required the ad to look powerful & exciting.

With a number of images, the Creative Director & I developed a thunderous atmosphere which

served as a perfect background to all the gladiators on the show.

CHANNEL 7 PACKED TO THE RAFTERS • BILLBOARDS & METROLITES • MAGAZINE SPREADS

PACked TO The RAFTeRs is currently the highest rating tv show in Australian television history.

The drama series features a mix of lighthearted comedy woven through the plot, but also

addresses many realistic social issues. Over 4 seasons running, each creative retained the same

branding. The background was created with a montage of different images of sky and grass,

giving the creative a quirky feel. The imagery of the family signifies ‘togetherness’ & ‘love’,

which are the continual running themes throughout the series. This is the story of a typical

Australian family in real life, therefore careful retouching was necessary to maintain the realism

of each cast member.

dANCiNG WiTh The sTARs: 3 different campaigns over 3 consecutive years are displayed here. Each capture

the sexy, fun & interactive elements that the show represents. These artworks usually required a tremendous

amount of time & patience. RGB lighting effects & colouring were critical here. In particular, a keen eye for

the successful deep-etching of the cast members’ hair was critical.

CHANNEL 7 AUSTRALIA’S GOT TALENT • MAGAZINE & NEWSPAPER SPREADS • FLAGS

COMING SOON

AusTRAliA’s GOT TAleNT is a talent show that features

singers, dancers, magicians, comedians & other

performers of all ages competing for a top prize of

$250,000. It features the likes of pop stars such

as Brian Mcfadden & Danni Minogue. As such,

an immense amount of retouching was required

to make each celeb look as grand as possible. In this

creative to the right, for exmaple, I was required to

recreate Danni’s hair, slim her waste & legs down,

reshape her breasts & even manipulate her nostril.

In addition, we were supplied with a 3D rendered

version of the show logo; however, the shape,

lighting & colouring required a makeover to match

that of the creative.

CHANNEL 7 BEAUTY & THE GEEK • METROLITE ART • EXAMPLE OF HIGH-END RETOUCHING & IMAGE MANIPULATION

beAuTy & The Geek may look like a very simple creative; however,

the main creative is actually made from 5 different stock images. The legs

were taken from 2 different shots of the same woman, the head from

the geek was also replaced by another from a different photograph.

The high heels were then attached to the legs & changed from pink

to red. The creative was inspired by an old James Bond movie poster.

CHANNEL 7 NATIONAL BINGO NIGHT GAME SHOW • BUS WRAP

NATiONAl biNGO NiGhT flooded the streets of Sydney with its glowing

colours. It was the excitement of the game that we wished to capture in our

design. Using Photoshop, each Bingo ball was carefully crafted & recoloured.

A very timely approach was also necessary to re-illustrate the Bingo Logo.

Apart from this, we developed the catch line ‘Be a Bingo Head’ for the

campaign , which was used in future television advertising.

These several ads displayed, are examples of popular U.S TV shows. Frequently, new creative’s would

be required for these shows on Australia television. At times, I assisted creating concepts for each,

& then worked closely with the Creative Director on the final art.

CHANNEL 7 THE ZOO • DVD COVER • MAGAZINE SPREADS

TUESDAYS 7.30PM

The zOO documented a series about animals in zoo’s.

The fun-loving tone of the advertisement was created

by the interactivity of animals with the zoo logo.

People generally love to see cute & adorable images

of animals; hence, these were used to encourage the

public to watch the series. The magazine spread below

was constructed with 9 shots, which required a good

deal of deep-etching, retouching, colour correcting &

digital manipulation in Photoshop.

around australia. The below indicate a variety of ideas

we put together to portray Seven News as the best in the

nation. All jobs required strict retouching to the news

presenters, & the colouration of each image was always

carefully considered.

Q CATeRiNG is a Qantas Airways division that supplies catered

food to all international flights of different airlines in the

Southern Hemisphere. The symbol is a simplistic representation

of a plate, a serviette and the Qantas triangle.

eNGAdiNe dANCe COMPANy is a school that teaches

Ballet in Sydney, Australia. The concept of the logo is a

representation of the letter ‘E’ as a dancer. This was

executed using my own handwriting to create a sence

of both movement & elegance.

The bike shACk is a very small rental shop located

in Sydney, Australia. They rent out bikes to the public

for a small cost. The logo is a typeface that resembles

a bicycle by the simple addition of 2 circles onto

the letter ‘K’. I wished for the logo to be simple,

contemporary, casual & approachable.

eNiGMA is a young & upcoming business that organises post-event

parties for schools & businesses. The typeface was created using a

contemporary font named DAX, which was bastardised to integrate

the letter ‘G’. It represents an infinity sign and symbolises a sense

of continuance, or probably in this case that ‘the party never ends’.

renovates existing gardens & outdoor areas. They wished

for a more artistic & less ruggade identity. For this reason

I created a mark that symbolises both a paint splatter as

well as the profile of a landscape.

QANTAS AIRWAYS A SERIES OF 5 POSTCARDS CELEBRATING 60 YEARS OF THE LONGEST HOP (FLIGHT FROM LONDON TO SYDNEY)

The lONGesT hOP promoted a 60 year celebration of Qantas’ first flight from Sydney to

London. Under the Creative Director’s direction, I assisted in the design of these postcards.

The aim was to produce an aesthetic similar to postcards that were produced in the 50’s

& 60’s. Old Qantas images were supplied, then scanned, manipulated & integrated

into a series of 5 postcards. These were later implemented onto large format banners.

The project was much of a success.

WatchesA small business style watch with a black, brown, gold or silver band may be worn.

Thick or rubber bands, jelly watches, over-sized watch faces, bright or fl uorescent coloured, cartoon character, novelty or over exaggerated sports watches, obvious diamante encrusted watches or watches with excessive branding are not acceptable.

Bracelets and Bangles One plain bracelet or bangle in gold, silver, diamond or pearl (maximum width 10mm) may be worn.

No other bracelets are acceptable, including; plastic, bone, leather, suede, fabric, wooden, charity bands, Tiffany & Co. locket bracelets or Pandora bracelets.

Eyewear

Eyewear should be aligned with the tone of the uniform.

Wear frames that are business-like, moderately sized and conservative in design and colour.

Lenses may be slightly tinted, provided eyes are clearly visible.

Contact lenses are to be either clear, or of a natural eye colour.

Sunglasses are to be conservative in design and colour, and removed while inside buildings, including Qantas environments and airport terminals. Once removed, they are not to be placed on top of your head.

Kangaroo and oneworld Pin The Kangaroo pin is only worn with Customer Service Manager, Customer Service Supervisor and QantasLink Check and Trainer uniforms. Badge placement is important. Wear both the Kangaroo and oneworld badges on the left side of your full uniform only, with the Kangaroo pin positioned above the oneworld badge on the jacket or dress.

When wearing the dress as full uniform, wear the Kangaroo pin, oneworld and name badge on the left side, centred above each other.

Additional Pins and BadgesA strict code applies to the badges you can wear.

Two additional badges may be worn on the right lapel of your jacket. These badges include:

• Long service• eXcel• Indigenous• Sommelier• Promotional (as determined

by Qantas).

Badges or pins not listed may not be worn.

Badges and pins are not to be worn on ties.

Wear promotional badges issued by Qantas on the right lapel of your jacket. If two additional badges are already being worn, you must remove one of these badges and replace it with the promotional badge.

RuNWAy explains uniform requirements to all Qantas

staff. The guide shown consisted of over 100 pages,

each containing a few highly Photoshoped images.

These were deepetched, retouched, resized, placed onto

new contemporary backgrounds, & shadows had to be

added. Due to the quantity of images, this process was

lengthy and time consuming.

MARCO POLO LARGE FORMAT POSTERS THAT WERE HUNG IN DEPARTMENT STORES AROUND SYDNEY

MARCO POlO is a small fashion label that has made a good name for

itself over the last few years in Sydney. It distributes clothing to stores

Sydney-wide. Many posters like the ones displayed were produced

over the last few years. Several other forms of printed media were

also produced including: clothing tags, brochures & postcards.

FiFA WORld CuP 2010: As a final work for my Bachelor degree in 2006, I decided

to develop a small scale campaign that would advertise the next Fifa World cup.

In this brief I aimed to design a logo for the event, a poster which would be

used to advertise the event, as well as a very intricate package that football fans

would receive once they arrived in South Africa. This package included their tickets,

a comprehensive tourist brochure, as well as souvenir postcards & a discount card.

MALISON SCHIZOPHRENIC DREAMING • CD COVER ARTWORK

sChizOPhReNiC dReAMiNG is the first album recorded by

Malison. The concept of the album is defined by a struggle

between good & evil. The album is written describing moments

in life that celebrate goodness & others that are tempted

by evil. It was from this that we were inspired by the distorted

world of Salvador Dali. We adapted this idea to the artwork by

deep-etching, layering & amalgamating images which resulted

in a very peculiar CD cover narrative.

MALISON RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES • CD COVER ARTWORK

RiGhT beFORe My eyes is the second album recorded by

Malison. The concept of the album is ‘nostalgia, memories

& happiness’. It is a written & musical documentation of the

life of the artist. It was his wish that we design the CD from

the inspiration of Pop Art Icon, Andy Warhol & his portraits

of Marilyn Monroe. As such, monochromatic images were

overlaid with screen-print like colours to portray the beauty

& serenity of these memories. It was our intension to

create 3 spreads inside the CD cover which portray the

colours of the sky as the sun sets; as this is the time of day

when people usually reflect on their life the most.
