Stanford Native Immersion Program 2015 YOUR FIRST STEP TO A SUCCESSFUL STANFORD CAREER The Stanford Native Immersion Program (SNIP) is a five-day, fun-filled experience designed to help incoming frosh adjust to life on the Farm. For the duration of the program, participants will stay at Mission Springs Conference Center—in the Santa Cruz Mountains south of San Jose—led by current students and staff who direct them in activities, explore Native issues and advise them on academic and student life at Stanford. Activities include team and skill building exercises, introduction to Stanford leaders and resource providers, a ropes course, and trips to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Mission Santa Cruz. All in all, students will have time to learn important information about Stanford while making friends and meeting people who will be supportive during their first year on campus. Participants will arrive at Stanford by 2:00 Thursday, September 10, travel to our off- campus location and then return for Freshman Move-In Day by 10:00 Tuesday, September 15. SNIP Applications are now available—notice of acceptance will be sent no later than August 1 .
