MISSION STATEMENT: St. Mary Magdalene Parish is a welcoming Faith Community of followers of Jesus Christ bonded by the Eucharist. We go forth from this table into the larger community sharing our gifts and talents in order to bring about God’s reign through works of justice and responsible stewardship.

The Frederick Douglass Global Fellowship honors the legacy of the abolitionist and statesman with a fully funded summer study abroad program. This Fellowship is developed for students of color and selection is in the spirit of Douglass himself with special emphasis on leadership, social justice, agitation

for positive change and cross-cultural understanding.

Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs has committed to co-sponsoring the 2021 Frederick Douglass Global Fellows to commemorate the 175th anniversary of Frederick Douglass’s four-month visit to the country.

The fifth cohort of Fellows will be based in Dublin and follow in Douglass’s footsteps

with visits across the country in summer 2021.

Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation for Adults

We welcome Adult members into full communion through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. We welcome all who worship with us who are not baptized or were baptized in a different Christian tradition to join us as full members of the Catholic Christian Community through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Please speak with Marva Chevalier for more information. We also welcome baptized Catholics who have not been confirmed or received the Eucharist.

PRAY FOR ….THE SICK, WHO ARE ILL IN BODY, MIND OR SPIRIT, ESPECIALLY:

Sacrament of Baptism for Infants: (Infants—3 years old):

Baptisms are held on the first Sunday of the month (Exception: There are no Baptisms in December or March). Please register your child at least one month in advance by coming to the rectory. You must complete the registration form and submit the child’s birth certificate. In addition, parents and Godparents MUST attend preparation class PRIOR to Baptism.

Pastoral Care of the Sick: Please call the parish office to arrange for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Communion, and Anointing of the Sick, at home.

Religious Education -

(Faith Formation for young people):

Our classes have begun! Classes are virtual for the
