Sometimes when I consider what tremendous consequences come from little things,

I am tempted to think there are no little things.

PURPOSE

Start Small Dream Big is EC Sector’s initiative to celebrate SG50 and PC15. The project will also provide a platform to profile the sector and help build a more Engaging, Caring, Dynamic and Achieving Early Childhood Community.

Children are never too young to contribute to the community and play an active role in making a difference to the nation. They are the future leaders for our nation. Community engagement instils in children responsibility, engages their compassion, and empowers them to make a difference in the lives of others.

Community work provides an authentic platform for children to innovate, problem solve, and use their talents to help others. It also helps discover their strengths and inspires them to become achievers.

Little things seem nothing, but like those meadow f lowers which individual ly seem odorless but al l together perfume the air.

PRINCIPLES

1. It is an adventure, not a race

2. It is about authenticity, not skin-deep beauty

3. It is inculcating values, not seeing how much value you raised

4. It is about sharing love, not giving love

5. It is about the little things, not something big
