Before you view the full video, Survey it:

• the title• video length• description• listen to the first minute of the video

Question while you are surveying:

• Turn the title into question• Ask yourself what you would like to learn

about this topic• Ask yourself, "What did the presenter say in

this video and how is it related to the module?"

• Ask yourself, "What do I already know about this subject?"

When you begin to Run through (view the video):

• Look for answers to the questions you first raised

• View and review sections of the videos to understand clearly

• Study graphic aids (if applicable)• View only one section at a time and recite

after each section

Recite after you've viewed section:

• Orally ask yourself questions about what you have just looked at, or summarize, in your own words, what you saw

• Take notes from the videos in your own words• Highlight important points you've just read• Reciting:

Review: an ongoing process

• After you have read and recited the entire video, write questions for those points you have highlighted or underlined.

• If you took notes while reciting, write questions for the notes you have taken Orally recite or write the answers from memory.

• Develop mnemonic devices for material which need to be memorized.Make flash cards for those questions which give you difficulty.

• Make a Table of Contents - list all the topics and sub-topics you need to know from the video.
