Alternative exit route – ‘with PE’

•Degree becomes Sport Studies BA(Hons) with PE

•This route is NOT a teaching qualification – it provides the

basis for a subsequent application to do a PGCE

•A place on this route is NOT guaranteed – it is by

application at the end of Year 1

•Level 2 – audited PE modules reflect NCPE activity areas

•Level 3 – audited PE modules and core ‘social aspects in PE

pedagogy’ module

group and individual work

• Assessment methods may include not only:-

How will I get feedback?

• Normally this will be within 20 days of the hand in and may be:

• Written, as a hard copy

• Online, via Turnitin

• Audio, via Podcast, audio on Turnitin or separate MP3 file

• Tutorials

• Feedback may be on-going (formative) as well as at the end of

each assessment task (summative)

• All 1st years will get feedback on a piece of work within 6 weeks of

starting their course
