• Mr. Chrisbaum serves as Director of International Trade Finance for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

• In that capacity, he oversees SBA’s export loan programs and the SBA staff who deliver those programs at U.S. Export Assistance Centers (USEAC) throughout the United States.

• Prior to assuming this new position in 2011, Mr. Chrisbaum served as SBA’s representative at the U.S. Export Assistance Center located in Denver, Colorado. In that role, he oversaw the SBA’s International Trade Finance Program in the five-state, Inter-Mountain West region, which included Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

Mr. Chrisbaum has an MBA degree in Finance, Investments and Banking and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin, as well as Masters of Arts degrees from Columbia University and Atlantic University.

Ms. Olga Ford is a Commercial Officer of the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service currently working at the Northern Virginia Export Assistance Center in Arlington Virginia. In July 2014 she completed her two and a half year tour as the Commercial Officer at the Embassy of the United States in New Delhi, India. While in India, she advised U.S. exporters on how to enter the Indian market. Prior to joining the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service, Olga Ford had a successful career as an international business lawyer representing clients in the area of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and technology licensing and distribution of software worldwide. Ms. Ford also has private law firm experience serving as a general counsel to a multinational technology company in Northern Virginia where she worked in transitional economies, cross-border transactions including development of natural resources, aviation and technology licensing. She holds advanced degrees from the University of St. Petersburg, Russia, the University of Richmond School of Law, and The Georgetown University Law Center in the U.S.

Session Description: A lower risk approach to entering the international marketplace is to “follow the money” U.S. government agencies that accomplish or coordinate projects outside the continental U.S. The purpose and benefit of this session is to introduce attendees to just a few of the agencies that fund international projects.

In addition to organization speaking at this conference there are also many other international organizations that also coordinate and/or fund projects. Including: World Bank, United Nations (UN), InterAmerican Development Bank, and Africa Development Bank.

• Ms. Phillips also serves as the National Account Manager for the Security Assistance/Foreign Military Sales program.

• Ms. Phillips is responsible for the strategy, policy, training, and funding for the USACE Security Assistance program. In these positions she interfaces with Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), State Department, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports and Cooperation (DASA-DE&C), International Agencies, and multiple Foreign Nations.

• She also worked as the Egypt Project Manager in the Transatlantic Center (renamed Middle East District). She negotiated several International and Interagency project agreements which led to additional work and established stronger relationships with Foreign Partners and Military Departments. Ms. Phillips started her Army career at Fort Lee, Virginia in the Directorate of Public Works as an Architectural Intern. She worked in both the Housing and Job Order Contracting Branches while working all aspects of smaller projects including estimating, project management, and quality assurance.

• Ms. Phillips graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech University and a Masters of Arts in International Affairs from Tufts University.

Ms. Bond’s will address the important topic of “Doing Business Outside the United State: Positive Trends but Serious Challenges?”

Back-office Challenges and Real World Solutions

Session Description: As you can imagine there are many operational and logistical items to consider when doing work outside the United States either opportunistically or strategically. This session is purposefully designed to introduce a variety of important “back-office” topics that are beneficial to the departments within firms that have to support the international marketing initiatives.

This session will begin with each speaker briefly introducing their specific expertise.
