Lauren Daigle Lyrics - “Trust in You” We recently heard this song for the first time during worship at Warrior Leadership Summit. It spoke to us as we worshiped our Lord and Savior. A little confession: we have been asking God to show us exactly how He wanted us to proceed in our ministry and it didn’t seem as if He was giving us answers. This fact is hard to admit, but when it didn’t seem as if He was answering or at least in the way we wanted Him to as we cried out to Him, we weren’t trusting in Him. The moment we heard this song, we were convicted of our sin. In the past few weeks, since we repented and put our complete trust in Him, He is answering our prayers. Praise God! Be watching for our next prayer letter to hear more about the amazing ways God is working, in and around us. But for now an actual update on our busy summer is long overdue! In our last ministry update we gave our top five praises and prayer request. Here are our praises for each of the five prayer request. God answered your prayers! The Warrior Leadership Summit (WLS) was a great start to our summer ministries! Over 800 Native American young people ages 15 to 35 attended this year’s summit in Missouri. We were disappointed that we weren’t able to take any youth from our area, but God allowed us to minister to others while we were there. In fact, we were blessed to spend time with David Smart, a past student of NABA. He is now living back in Alaska and attending Alaska Bible College, but was ministering with the WLS ministry team this year. It was great hearing all God is doing in and through him. We were also blessed to meet one of our supporters for lunch in Camdenton. During an evening service, one of the clearest evangelistic messages we’ve ever heard was given and over 150 people received Christ that evening! It was wonderful! Then, on another evening, the pastor gave a clear message about laying your burdens down at Jesus’ feet; to put it all down and follow Him wholeheartedly! After the message the pastor gave a plea for anyone who truly desired that above all things, to come forward and write down their commitment on a huge paper spread across one wall of the auditorium. He shared that the commitment they made was not something to do casually or just because one of their friends were doing it. Over 100 people went forward to surrender to whatever God has for them. Praise God! Shortly after returning home from Missouri, we traveled to ABWE in Harrisburg, PA to give our ministry report to the board of directors. In preparing our report, God allowed us to see all the amazing things He has allowed us to be apart of in the past few years. It is always good to look back at all God has done and give thanks. Immediately following the board interview, we traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the Missionary Enrichment Conference. It was great to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. We praise God for traveling mercies and the few days of much needed rest we received between the two events. So What’s Up with the Luper's? June - August 2016

Truth is, You know what tomorrow brings. There’s not a day ahead You have not seen,

So, in all things be my life and breath. I want what You want Lord and nothing less.

When You don’t move the mountains, I’m asking You to move, When You don’t part the waters, I wish I could walk through,

When You don’t give the answers, as I cry out to You, I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in You!

Lauren Daigle Lyrics - “Trust in You”

We recently heard this song for the first time during worship at Warrior Leadership Summit.

God answered your prayers!• The Warrior Leadership Summit (WLS) was a great start to our

summer ministries! During an evening service, one of the clearest

evangelistic messages we’ve ever heard was given and over 150 people received Christ that evening! Praise God!

• Shortly after returning home from Missouri, we traveled to ABWE in Harrisburg, PA to give our ministry report to the board of directors.

• Vacation Bible School at Clebit Baptist Church! In July, a ministry team from Fort Worth came to Oklahoma to do a VBS. We helped the Texas church make the connection with the local church; however, we weren’t able to be a part of the VBS due to our traveling to ABWE. We praise God for the team’s traveling mercies. Also, praising God for the connection made between the two churches. The church from Fort Worth hopes to make the trip a repeated event each year.

•Vacation Bible School at Durwood Baptist Church! The last week in July, Northside Baptist Church (our sending church) led a ministry team to Madill, OK to do a VBS. We made it home from ABWE on a Saturday evening and quickly prepared to head out again on the following Monday morning. The VBS was wonderful! The team came ready and prepared to do ministry, while at the same time feeling a little out of their comfort zone. The church had a decent turn out the first night and each night the numbers grew! All the kids and adults (it was more like a family VBS) grew more excited as the week progressed and so did the ministry team. Tena’s brother was able to attend and it was life changing for him. He has been studying God’s word more consistently since our return. Each evening after the VBS, the church held services for all who wanted to stay. By the end of the week, several decisions had been made. We praise God for the five individuals who received Christ as their Savior!

• Our daughter, Jessica Stone, participated in a mission trip to Rwanda, Africa in July! We praise God for supplying the needed funds to go! She praises God for the work He is doing in Rwanda and for giving her the opportunity. Jessica is hoping to participate in another short-term sometime with her husband and children.

August has been a month of catching up on all the work put aside because of our travel. It has also been a month of reflecting on all God has done in and through us. In a Bible study recently, Tena came across this quote from Samuel Wells, “A Christian never falls asleep in the fire or deep water, but he grows drowsy in the sunshine.” Oh, how true it is. Don’t we just hope for those bright sunny days, so we can rest in the beauty of it and how we hate it when we are caught in the fire or deep water. The fire or deep water may be different for each of us. It’s may be a time of loss, a new job, a different path you weren’t expecting, or a sickness. The list could go on and on, but you get my point. We will do all we can to avoid these times, but if we face the fire with reliance on God and put our trust in Him, He will see us through. “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worth patience.” James 1:2-3

Prayer Request:• We will be representing Native American Bible Ministries (NABM) at a mission conference at Camp Pearl

Ministries in Louisiana - September 9 - 12. Pray God will open doors!• Classes begin at Native American Bible Academy (NABA) on October 3. Pray for new students who are

committed to follow God’s leading. Also, for the time and resources needed to prepare the facility for the upcoming school year.

• The first week of October the NABM Board of Directors will meet to make decisions for the coming year. Pray God will grant wisdom to these men as they make plans, policies, and decisions.

• October 24 - 28, we will be teaching “The Life of Christ” at the academy. We are excited always with the opportunity to teach. Pray God blesses our preparation and leads us through teaching.

• Jesse’s father was taken to the hospital a few weeks ago. He’s doing better but still needs prayer. • Tena’s mom has recently been diagnosed with sugar diabetes. Pray as she works to get her blood sugar

levels to normal.
