• spottydog is a small, award-winning, independent PR consultancy founded by consultants with

big brand and agency experience. Today, this means spottydog clients get access to the

consultancy skills and experience developed through past ‘big-agency’ work for blue-chip brands

and public sector bodies like P&G, McDonalds, Heinz, the NHS and retail destination Bullring,

whilst achieving effective value-for-money by securing PR consultancy at a ‘small-agency’ price.

• Since launching in 2010 we’ve developed our consultancy team and client portfolio to enable us

to deliver communications consultancy to organisations within the consumer, b2b and public

sector on behalf of over 25 clients who have included the NHS, Motorola, Heritage Bathrooms

and Mitchells & Butlers.

• The consultancy services delivered by our ten-strong team range from strategic campaign

development through to tactical delivery of PR, social and digital media activity, which

predominantly includes copywriting, media relations, social media management and e-

communications.

• We are proud to have already achieved local and national recognition for our

business with accolades won at the Chartered Institute of PR’s Midlands

PRide Awards 2015 (Midlands Outstanding Consultancy of the Year) and 2015

for Digital and Internal Communications categories, plus winner at Public

Relations Consultants Association Awards 2012.

• More importantly, positive feedback and repeat briefings from clients have

enabled us to develop retained relationships with brands and organisations

across the Midlands, in London and internationally in the United States.

• We operate from two locations in theMidlands.

– In the West Midlands our Birminghamcity pad home is at 35 St Paul’sSquare in the Jewellery Quarter.

– In the East Midlands we work fromour rural retreat in NewtownUnthank, just outside of Leicester,close to junction 23a on the M1.

• When recruited, spottydog team membersare assigned as a Birmingham or Leicesterbased role and this will be your principleplace of work.

• However with clients located across theUK and to maximise integration betweenthe two locations, travel between sitesand to client locations should beexpected.

• As our Leicester office is based in a rurallocation, ability to drive and access toyour own wheels is an advantage.

Talent spotting

• We’re a small team, so you’ll get the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into all aspects of the work we do – client liaison, copywriting, media relations, web and social content management, events and reporting

• We’ve got a brilliant mix of consumer led clients, together with some high-tech b2b clients with some cracking stories to tell – so it means we’re regularly in London delivering media briefings and press days which secure exciting national publicity

• In return for juggling the demands of working within the 24/7 media and digital landscape we’ll reward you with a salary with a commitment to review after six months, 24 days holiday, flexible working policy, 5% match pension contribution, paid CIPR membership, young persons railcard (if you’re lucky to be under 25!), spotty wellies and naturally a spotty mug!

• You’ll be based in our leafy Leicestershire hub or Birmingham city pad, but you’ll get out and about to meetings with clients and London media briefings – so the only time the grass will be growing under your feet is when you’re taking Zac out for his lunchtime lope

• We have a work hard / play hard culture – so as well as spotting great PR ops, we hope that you have a little black number for the inevitable awards ‘do’s’, as well as a soft spot for Champneys, bingo, treasure hunting and the cinema because that’s what we got up to on our last few team time outs. We’ll even throw in a dobber…
