Franco-Eco FGS is an interdisciplinary collaboration that,based on Experiential Learning Theory, aims to create

practicaland student-organized learning experience by offering fun andhands-on activities that allow students to develop disciplinefocused language skills in French

Our Story: HOWFranco-Eco FSG/Teaching Opportunity Program

2 teams of facilitators create, prepare and deliver bi-weeklymeeting sessions during which students-participants interact in French

Facilitators received 10-12 hrs. of training at the RGASC

Weekly meetings with French Instructor: TOP – monthlyreport including reflexive piece on their own learningexperience, Portfolio, oral presentations, final interview

Experiential learning theory defines learning as "theprocess whereby knowledge is created through thetransformation of experience. Knowledge resultsfrom the combination of grasping and transformingexperience"(Kolb 1984).
