The Diploma of Events introduces you to this exciting industry through a variety of hands-on practical learning experiences.

This course will teach you how to plan, implement and evaluate an event from start to finish, while equipping you with management skills such as human resources, marketing and risk management. You will learn how to develop the event concepts, select the right venue, coordinate the service and exceed the expectations of the client, to deliver exceptional projects. By studying this course you will receive the practical skills you need to get a job in the events industry, as well as a solid foundation in hospitality that will allow you to be a successful professional in the hospitality industry.

Event management professionals are constantly in demand to plan and manage events, ranging from conferences and conventions to music festivals and product launches.

To be a successful Event professional you will require patience, attention to detail and organisational skills. You will benefit from all the events-based knowledge and practical skills that this course teaches, as well as the business-related topics that are covered.

Diploma > Degree PathwayGraduates of the Diploma of Events have the opportunity to continue on to further study by articulating into APM’s Bachelor of Business (Event Management). Students who successfully complete the Diploma will receive 80 credit points out of a possible 240 of the Bachelor Degree, which will reduce the course by three trimesters.

This means that you could complete a Diploma of Events (SIT50212) plus a Bachelor of Business degree in 3 years of study – with no extra entry requirements needed.

5. Study now, pay laterVET-FEE-HELP is available for this course. Almost every Australian citizen is eligible for Government assistance through the VET-FEE-HELP program, which means you do not have to pay anything upfront, but can pay for your course as you earn. Do I need an ATAR?You don’t need an ATAR to enter the Diploma, and at the end of this one year course, you can then go on to study for your Bachelor of Business with course credit. Where is the William Blue campus located?

SydneyLocated just a few minutes’ walk from Circular Quay, our new Sydney campus opened in February 2015 and is kitted out with modern facilities, open plan teaching spaces and comfortable student lounge areas. William Blue students share the campus with students from Torrens University Australia. The campus overlooks the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House can be seen from the class rooms.
