AM-HA’ARETS

Luke 5: 27-28 (NIV)

Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi (Matthew) sitting at his tax booth. "Follow me," Jesus said to him, and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.

Luke 5:29 (NIV)

Then Levi (Matthew) held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them.

Luke 5:31-32 (NIV)

Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”

Luke 7:48 (NIV)

Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven. Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Luke 15:1-2 (NIV)

Now the tax collectors and “sinners” were all gathering around to hear him. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

Luke 5:13 (NIV)

Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.

Luke 4:18-19 (NIV)

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”

Luke 10:36 (NIV)

“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

Matthew 25:40 (NIV)

“I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
