Predavač dr Zane Yi Metod poučavanja Lectures will introduce the students to the concepts, principles, and practices of the topics studied for the module. Case studies may be used to provide examples and will be used to develop further understanding of what has been learned. Group work may be used to support the discussion and critical evaluation of what has been learned, normally in a smaller group size than a lecture. Independent study allows students to further their independent learning skills (e.g. preparation for lectures and exam, follow-up work, background reading, revision, completion of assessment tasks). The modules will encourage students to think about the skills needed to address theological and practical issues they will encounter in ministry. Sadržaj predmeta • The question of method in Biblical Theology (e.g., historical options; Bible as grand-story; a seven-stage theistic-narrative hermeneutic; Christ-centered interpretation of Scripture; the relationship of exegesis, Biblical theology and systematic theology; the Adventist stance on the Bible as the only creed) • The narrative stages and their key motifs and thematic development (e.g., the creation, the fall, the promise and the people of God, the fulfilment in Jesus, the fulfilment and the people of God, the day of the Lord, and new creation) • The central themes of Jesus’ teaching and the way he interpreted Torah (The Great Commandments, the Sermon on the Mount, use of parables) • Jesus as the fulfillment of Old Testament typology (the Adam, Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, Israel, the temple, etc.)

Rezultati poučavanja

Upon the successful completion of this module, the student should be able to demonstrate the ability to: 1) Critically reflect upon key aspects of Biblical Theology and its methodological potential for both theology and pastoral ministry with reference to knowledge at the forefront of the field of study; 2) Deploy accurately established techniques of in-depth analysis and enquiry within the discipline of Biblical Theology; 3) Critically synthesize a large body of canonical data; 4) Critically evaluate arguments, assumptions, abstract concepts and data (that may be incomplete), to make judgements, and to frame appropriate questions to achieve a solution, or a range of solutions, to a problem.

Assessment: Assessment Component #1 - 25% Book critique (1,250-words). Students will obtain a designated book on Biblical Theology. They will be encouraged to move beyond describing the contents, instead focusing on strengths and weaknesses of the book in question. Assessment Component #2 - 75% 1 hour written examination Grading system:

5 – 0-60%

6 – 61-68%

7 – 69-76%

8 – 77-84%

9 – 85-92%

10 – 93-100%
