This catalogue represents MAIT’s drilling rigs range and the various applications that can

be utilized. MAIT also produces other types of construction equipment for drilling water

wells, cranes, micropiles, jet grouting, quarrying, soil investigation and tunnelling.

Furthermore MAIT is capable of providing various drilling tools like augers, buckets core

barrels, friction and interlocking kelly bars and accessories such as casing oscillators,

casing tubes, hydraulic grabs, hammers, vibrators, power packs and more.

HR 800The HR 800 is our biggest model, which has

been specially designed and built for carrying

out works requiring large bore diameters at

great depths. This one of a kind drilling rig

can be equipped with different rotarys with

different torque values depending on your job

requirements. The rotary can also be set up

with the MCS (MAIT Casing System) or torque

multiplier which can exert a maximum nominal

torque of 800 KNm for insertion and extraction

on the casing tubes up to a maximum diameter

of 3000 mm.

The HR 800 is not limited to the conventional

kelly bar drilling system, but it is able to utilize

Casing Oscillators, Continuous Flight Auger

(CFA), Diaphragm Walls by kelly bar system,

and Driven piles with hydraulic hammers. The

HR 800 is also available with a crowd winch

system (THD), which allows a longer stroke

along the length of the mast, therefore longer

casing sections may be used when drilling.

“THD version”

The HR 800 is our biggest model, which has

been specially designed and built for carrying

out works with large bore diameters at great

depths. The THD system (crowd winch) allows

drilling with larger casing lengths underneath

the rotary as the winch provides a longer stroke

as the rotary can be raised higher on the mast.

This one of a kind drilling rig can be equipped

with different rotarys with different torque values

depending on your job requirements. The rotary

can also be set up with the MCS (MAIT Casing

System) or torque multiplier which can exert

a maximum nominal torque of 800 KNm for

insertion and extraction on the casing tubes up

to a maximum diameter of 3000 mm.

The HR 800 is not limited to using the kelly bar

drilling system, but it is also able to utilize Casing

HR 300-570The HR 300-570 is a drilling rig of great dimensions, weighing approximately 90-95 tons. It has been purposely designed without mast articulation in order so the mast is stable and can withstand the high torque of the MCS system (Torque multiplier system exclusively available from MAIT). According to your requirements, this rig can be fitted with either a rotary with 233 kNm nominal torque or 270 kNm nominal torque. The HR 300-570 rig succeeds in inserting and extracting casings with a daily 30 % productive increment thanks to the torque multiplier. The MCS system has 57.000 kgm exercised torque from the rotary directly to the casing.

This drilling rig is available in two versions; the difference of each version is indicated by the pull-down system that moves the rotary:

CP version: standard version with pull-down cylinder.

THD version: with crowd winch.

The HR 260 is a self erecting, 75 ton drilling rig

particularly suitable for drilling great diameters

using the kelly bar system and with casing tubes

directly with the rotary. The HR 260 is able to

perform the following applications:

- Execution of direct rotary drilling with casings

and casing oscillator

- Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) & Diaphragm

The HR 260 is available in the following two

adaptable to many different applications such

TThe HR 180, one of our most sold models,

because of its versatility, and it is easily

adaptable to many different applications such

as:

- Drilling with augers or buckets

- Execution of drilling casings directly with

rotary and casing oscillator

- Continuous Flight Auger (CFA)

- Diaphragm Walling


The HR 180 is available in two versions:


with a Pull-down Cylinder which exerts it’s

force on the rotary, and is principally utilized for

drilling large diameter bore holes. The rotary

is able to work with a stroke of 5.100 m (17 ft)

approx. The HR 180 CP uses a parallelogram

system of articulation.


THD system moves the rotary by utilizing the

winch, allowing the rotary to be used along a

larger stroke of the mast, 10 m (33 ft) approx.

The THD version is particularly useful for

driving and extracting casing tubes directly by

the rotary, and without a doubt increasing your

daily productivity.

The HR 180 drilling rig base is already

predisposed for all the various works listed

above.

THD version

HR 130The HR 130 is a powerful compact rig that does

not require disassembly for transporting from

job to job. It is able to drill large diameters with

augers and buckets, and can also be equipped

with diverse kits which allow to drill with

Continuous Flight Auger, Diaphragm walls,

Down the Hole Hammers, and even Casing

Oscillators.

The HR 130’s particularly modular conception

provides 170 KNm torque, and is easily and

rapidly convertible depending on the drilling

requirements, allowing the operator to carry out

a wide variety of jobs which would otherwise

require the use of different and expensive

equipment. The HR 130 comes equipped with

electronic depth counter, automatic levelling

system, and air conditioning & heating system

in order to better accomodate the operator.

MIDI DRILLThe MIDI DRILL has been designed to

guarantee better productivity in the drilling of

small diameter holes, with maximum running

economy. It’s moderate size allows easy

transportation and use on the jobsite. This rig

is ideal for small contractors who can haul the

MIDI DRILL on a trailer with their large pick-up

truck. Another great feature is that the kelly bar

BABY DRILLThe BABY DRILL is the perfect limited access

rig on the market. This rig can get in areas where

large machines only dream of entering, such

as inside elevator shafts, inside buildings, and

under low roof and low headroom conditions.

With it’s very compact size, it can enter through a

3.3 ft wide door. The BABY DRILL is completely

remote controlled by the operator allowing him

to maneuver the machine from a distance. The

powerpack can easily be dismounted from the

machine and left outside of the building in order

to protect the operators from being intoxicated

by the engine’s emissions.

Another special feature of the BABY DRILL

is that the mast is telescopic which allows the

BABY DRILL to reduce or increase it’s height

MAICAT 45The MAICAT 45 has been designed to guarantee

better productivity for drilling of small and

medium diameter bored piles, with maximum

running economy. Thanks to it’s compact size,

the MAICAT 45 is easyily transported with no

need to remove the kelly bar. This significantly

allows the customer to reduce transport costs

& set-up time, therefore increasing productivity

on the jobsite.

The MAICAT 45 is mounted on Caterpillar

312 excavator base, which offers enormous

advantages for spare parts and technical

assistance. The cabin is spacious, comfortable

and ensures a better working environment for

The MAICAT 45 can even be mounted with a

special CFA application kit for drilling maximum

CFA 24The CFA 24 has been especially designed to

carry out the following works:

- Continuous Flight Auger;

- Direct circulation;

- Jet grouting.

Considering its compact dimensions, the

CFA 24 drilling rig is one of a kind as far as

performance is concerned, since it allows to

carry out jobs with Continuous Flight Auger up

to a depth of 24 m (79 ft).

The CFA 24 is mounted on an expandable

crawler which can open up to 4.300 mm (14 ft)

width, giving a greater stability to the machine.

It is soundproof and is built in conformity to

the latest European safety standards. Upon

request, it can be supplied with a computer for

recording and monitoring all the data concerning

CFA drilling.

Other optional accessories can be provided by

MAIT such as hydraulic auger cleaner, pulldown

winch, cage vibrator, concrete injection pipe

and CFA tooling.

THH9The THH9 is the latest driven pile rig created

by MAIT to drive pre-cast square concrete

piles, cased piles, H-beams piles, etc.. This 65

tons class machine offers unmatched stability

for driving piles in the most difficult working

conditions.

The THH9 has been specifically designed to

mount MAIT hydraulic hammers (from 3 to 9

tons) as well as from other manufacturers upon

request.

Another special feature of the THH9, is that the

mast is equipped with a telescopic boom that

simplifies the centering of the pile by extending

the mast horizontally outwards to 1.000 mm

(3.3 ft). Piles can be driven vertically as well as

inclinated, depending upon pile and hammer

characteristics.

Thanks to the ability of THH9 crawler cylinder’s

stroke, the expandable crawler undercarriage

offers enormous advantages for transport and

stability during the work phase because of the

great range of its dimensions from 3.000 to

4.500 mm (10 - 15 ft).

THH6The THH6 was specially designed for driven piles works with hydraulic hammers. The considerable length of the mast allows a stroke suitable for installing driven piles up to a depth of 16 m (52.5 ft).MAIT provides a full range of hydraulic hammers, optimizing weight, dimensions and energy output in order to obtain one of the most compact and efficient equipment on the market. The THH6 is suitable for utilizing 3 to 7 tons ram weight hydraulic hammer category.The THH6 rig is suitable for the following applications:- Driven piles;- Continuous Flight Auger;- Bored piles;- Works with hydraulic vibrator.The THH6 is equipped with a specially designed horizontal sliding mast which enables the operator to center the pile with 1 m (3.3 ft) stroke allowing high precision in hole set-up operations. Piles can be driven vertically as well as inclinated, depending upon pile and hammer characteristics. The rig’s crawler undercarriage is particularly large and stable and provides maximum safety conditions for the operator.The THH6 is a very versatile multipurpose drilling rig, which is easy to operate, maintain and to transport. Another great feature of the THH6 is that it does not require disassembling for transporting from job to job, due to the hydraulic expandable tracks and folding mast features.
