By the numbers:
By 2030, the US Census Bureau
predicts that people over the age of 65
will outnumber children under the
age of 18.
For 2018 in Ohio, 13 of 88 counties
have already experienced this “flip.” Up from
only 9 counties in 2017.
By 2034, more than 1 in 5 people in the
US will be 65 or older.
9 out of 10 adults over 65 plan to “age
in place.”
Two Characteristic Concerns of Elderly Clients
•Need to stay in control of life when so many other things are failing them.
•Creating a legacy in a world where time is running short.
