Reflective Practice and Portfolio Development

Introduction and Goals• This seminar was delivered by Dr. Sherry
Steeley, in order to provide participants with a platform for integrationg their individual encompassing both fieldwork and coursework, and work on developing an Individual Action Plan for Implementation upon return to their home countries.
Introduction and Goals• This seminar began with an examination of our
professional identity and change agency, with reflection on educational and administrative structures and systems within which we practice our teaching profession in our home countries.
• We deepened on developing professional goals, so we could formulate an Individual Action Plan, and also developed a porfolio with lesson plans and methods/strategies for dissemination upon our return to our home countries.
Course Outcomes• By the conclusion of the seminar, participants
will:– Have a collection of reflections on various aspects
of field experience in order to disseminate information to colleagues upon their return
– Have a collection of model lessons, teaching strategies, and techniques, ready to share with colleagues upon their return.
– Be prepared to present and implement portfolios for disseminating innovation upon return to their home schools.
