A Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in English IIIRemedial Instruction
I. ObjectivesAt the end of the lesson the student is expected to:
demonstrate understanding by writing three facts about Mother Teresa; create a timeline of event in the life of Mother Teresa; tell her brief autobiography necessary for creating her own timeline; and; write a brief biography of her mother or any person.

III. ProcedureA. Pre-reading
1. MotivationThe teacher will ask the student if she had already read biographies, whose biographies and had she written any.
2. Vocabulary DevelopmentUsing the dictionary, find the meaning of the words:
novice slums dispensary enthusiasm
B. During-readingThe teacher will ask the student to note specific details in Mother Teresa’s life necessary in creating the timeline of events.
C. Post-readingThe teacher will ask the ff. questions to elicit comprehension response:
1. When and where was Mother Teresa born? When did she die?2. What is the charity she founded?3. What did Mother Teresa mean when she said that there is something
which neither science nor medicine could fill?4. In what way did she make a difference among the poor people of
India?

IV. EvaluationIn your quiz notebook:
1. Create a timeline of events in the life of Mother Teresa.
2. Create a time line of your life starting the year you were born until 10 years from now.
V. AssignmentIn your assignment notebook, get information about your mother or any person you want, necessary for writing her/his brief biography. Limit your composition to three paragraphs.
