4. Quality Indicator Framework(QIF)
Criterion 1 - Curricular Aspects
1.1 Curricular Planning and Implementation
1.1.1 The institution ensures effective curriculum delivery through a well planned and documented
process
Response:
The institution does ensure effective curriculum delivery through a well-planned and documented process.
The main Academic Calendar is given by the University, and according to the given Academic calendar,
the college prepares a detailed and department wise academic calendar for the year. At the beginning the
academic year, all departments meeting is held and every department prepares their respective academic
calendar. Another department-wise meeting, is held by the HODs of each department where the subjects
are allocated to each faulty and the preparation of lesson plan is started. Once the lesson plan is prepared
by the faculties, it is reviewed by the HOD and it is put in action. Lesson Plan/Plan of study for every
subject is prepared by the subject in charge as prescribed in the University regulations for that subject. Plan
of study will be thoroughly checked and by the HOD. Once the classes are started, lesson plan is updated
by the faculty in charge of subject. HOD reviews the lesson plan regularly. Meetings will held to discuss
about lesson plan and changes to be followed if required.
Once the classes are started, the faculties interaction with the students and the students‘ performance, gives
us a fair idea of the slow and fast learners. Individual attention is given to the students of each category and
action is taken accordingly. Remedial and extra classes are taken for the slow-learners which helps them
understand better and cope with rest of the class. As for the advanced learners, extra support is given with
respect to library and they are encouraged to attend other courses, and to seize the opportunities that they
come across.

2.2.1 The institution assesses the learning levels of the students, after admission and organises
special programs for advanced learners and slow learners
Response:
The Institution strongly believes in bringing out the true potential of each student. Once the admissions
are done, a bridge course/induction is organized by the college to get the basic knowledge of students
in par with each other. The attendance of this bridge course is mandatory for all students.
The Institute uses different ways to bring out the best in slow learners and advanced learners. During
the curriculum delivery, regular class tests are conducted after the completion of lessons, for assessing
the theoretical knowledge imparted. In every practical class, viva voce will be conducted to keep the
student thorough with the subject. Regular assignments are given to students to ensure that the students
are up to date and are evaluated and remedial measures are suggested and marks will be allotted by the
subject in charge in students sessional marks. The slow learners will be referred to the remedial classes
which will be made mandatory for them. The advanced learners will be encouraged to attend special
classes and other seminars and workshops. If required, parents will be called through phone, and letters
will be sent to parents, based on student‘s attendance and student‘s marks. Tutorial classes for all the
students will be conducted as per the academic regulations of the University.
Psychometric tests are conducted for 1st year and 3rd year students and the stress level of students is
assessed. The students under high stress levels are counseled and helped with stress management.
Reports are created for each Psychometric test taken and action reports are also created for the same,

Response:
Our earth is covered with 75% of water and 25% of land but water scarcity is a global issue because the

In the areas of regular rainfall, the perfect alternative to overcome the water scarcity is the collection of
rainwater called as rainwater harvesting. Falling rain furnish the clean, natural water and this is not
astonishing because it is due to the distillation procedure. This harvesting does not include the water
running from land into the streams, lakes, and rivers etc. It can be done in private buildings, public
buildings and also in manufactured areas.

Page 77/79 17-01-2018 11:28:26
Title: Green and clean environment.
Objective: Progress is very much needed for the evolution & sustainability of mankind with a definite
ecological balance. Being developed is indeed a necessity to keep ourselves abreast with changing times
but fighting a major issues like pollution, global warming, outnumbered disease evolution due to lack of
cleanliness. By taking small initiatives like planting trees, raising awareness, conducting practical sessions
on maintaining cleanliness and self-hygiene, we can create a dynamic eco-friendly environment. The
Oxford College of Pharmacy has been contributing substantially in nurturing environment by conducting
various activities, implementing novel practices and adhering to green cleaning policy.
Background: Mere manifestation on the recent applications towards safeguarding the environment & Lack
of required resources in maintaining the clean environment are the major drawbacks that need to be
takencare.
The Practice: Considering the present situation, The College has decided to put necessary efforts in
possibly shaping the environment by forming a team with dedicated volunteers. The team so far has
organized events like swachh bharat abhiyan in and around campus for promoting environmental
awareness, A practical session on handwashing techniques & disease prevention for spreading importance
of self-hygiene, Adopting a plastic free zone policy and also plantation of trees.
Evidence of Success: The College now witnesses the efforts contributed by volunteers for its greener and
cleaner outlook compared to earlier days.
Problems Encountered and Resources Required: Additional financial support can help to implement
many awareness programs and also to conduct various theoretical & practical sessions by
environmentalists for obtaining guidance on better cleankeeping practices.
Practice#2

Self Study Report of The Oxford College of Pharmacy
Page 78/79 17-01-2018 11:28:26
