IDEAS FOR LATER

Use a variety of different shaped plastic

containers and balloons to make play ice.

First, colour some water with food colouring

and then pour it into different containers

and freeze. A plastic glove makes an

interesting shape! Play with the ice in a

water trough or paddling pool for outside

fun.

Make an ice cream picture! Cut a triangle

from a piece of plain paper for the cone,

then place a piece of netting (such as

orange bag netting from the fruit shop)

over the top and rub over it with a yellow

crayon to create a waffle effect. Paste the

cone onto a coloured piece of cardboard

and paste on cotton balls for ice cream.

Use paint to colour the cotton balls to show

different flavours.

Make melon balls! Use a melon baller to

make balls from a variety of different

melons and serve as a cool snack or

dessert.

(Play School, ABC)

IDEAS FOR LATER

Think ahead to spring and plant some bulbs in a

pot or in the garden and enjoy the anticipation

of beautiful flowers.

Make some leaf print tiles! Roll out a piece of

clay into a tile shape, press the back of a leaf

into the clay to make an impression and then

carefully peel it off. Poke a hole in the top with a

pencil and leave to dry. Paint the leaf shape in

strong autumn colours. When the paint is dry,

thread a ribbon through the tile and hang it up.

the colours of spring!

Pick some flowers suitable for pressing

between two sheets of greaseproof paper.

Place the greaseproof paper between the
