SMC has agreements with many UC and CSU campuses, as well as several private and out-of-state institutions.

The skills you gain in pursuing a math degree provide you with critical and rational thinking skills that can be applied in many careers such as law, business, medicine and more. Some possible careers that math major can lead to are statistical assistant, actuary, financial analyst, economist, budget analyst and teacher. Some of the ways for the Math Students to stay connected and further develop their math skill is utilizing the the Math Lab, participate in Math Workshops, STEM tutoring and using helpful math resources such as online tutoring videos, graphing tools and interactive pages and forums. Drop-in tutoring is available at all three locations during regular hours and hour-long tutoring sessions are also offered by appointment.

● ENGINEERING 1: Introduction Engineering This course is an introduction to the methods and tools of engineering problem solving and design, including the interface of the engineer with society and engineering ethics. While addressing the branches of engineering, the functions of an engineer, and the industries in which engineers work, this course examines the engineering education pathways and explores effective academic strategies.
