Master of Arts in Education – Educational Administration Fall 2018 Supplemental Application Thank you for your interest in the Master of Arts in Education – Educational Administration program at California State University San Marcos. Applying to the School of Education is a two-part process. Part one of the application process is to apply to CSUSM through a system called Cal State Apply. Part two of the application is to submit this Supplemental Application with supporting documents to the School of Education. Applying to the program requires a $55 fee to complete the Cal State Apply Application. NOTE: DO NOT upload any supporting documents (test scores, transcripts, statement of purpose, etc.) through the Cal State Apply application system as all requested materials will need to be submitted directly to the School of Education. The Deadline to Apply is June 15, 2018 at 5pm PST. All materials must be received in order for your application to be reviewed. Once your Supplemental Application has been received and processed, you will receive a confirmation email.

Part Three – Additional Admissions Documents 5. Two Letters of Recommendation At least one (1) letter must be from a site administrator or superintendent. Other letter(s) must

be from individual(s) familiar with your work in the field of education.

6. Employment Experience Applicants must demonstrate professional experience in the field of Education. Please indicate below which option you have met:

A minimum of three (4) years of successful, full-time classroom teaching experience in public schools/private schools of

equivalent status; ! Verification on district letterhead from the personnel office must be attached.

A minimum of three (4) years experience appropriate to the services/teaching credential (such as school counselor, school, psychologist, school nurse or school librarian);

" Describe the leadership skills have you developed prior to the Educational Administration program and what you hope to learn over the next two years as a practicing leader.

" When you reflect on your current role in the workplace, describe how you are supporting educational equity and how you hope to expand that goal as a future leader.

Part Four – Interview Interview - All qualified applicants will be required to participate in an in-person interview with the faculty responsible for admissions to the applicable program. The interview will take place on the CSUSM campus and the process may include an individual interview, a group interview, and on-site submission of a writing sample from prompt. Interview panels include program coordinators, faculty, public school teachers, and public school administrators. Applicants will be notified by email to make arrangements for the interview.
