An Author, an Illustrator and a StorytellerWhat? A unique and interactive school incursion with an AUTHOR, an ILLUSTRATOR and a STORYTELLER.

Who? Our presenters/performers are inspiring, energetic and fun. They are qualified teachers and have experience with children through children’s theatre, children’s entertainment and/or in a school environment in performance and teaching.

Why? This incursion complements many schools ‘well-being’ and ‘social skills’ programs by exploring values and attitudes which reinforce: getting-along, self-belief, persistence, resilience, determination, motivation, courage, encouragement etc.

Where? Brisbane and Sunshine Coast

Details: This school incursion runs for approximately 90 minutes (3 x 30 minute sessions). Each 90 minute session will cater for 50 - 100 children. A minimum of 100 students per booking applies. We take bookings for 1 – 3 sessions per day – Please see sample timetable below.

How much? $15 per student

Requirements: Three undercover venues are required to accommodate the presenters and students for each session.

Katrina Logan - AuthorKatrina is a popular Brisbane author and has successfully

produced a number of well-loved picture books. She loves to

write stories that children identify with and relate to. Katrina

enjoys visiting schools and sharing with students the

journey of a book from concept to completion and

conducting writing workshops. Katrina’s goal is to inspire

others to read and write. She believes that anyone can be an

author and that everyone one has a story. Katrina is a

qualified teacher and inspires children to connect with the

world beyond the classroom.

Georgina Robertson – StorytellerGeorgina trained in ‘Theatre Arts – Performance’ prior to

teaching, and worked in schools throughout the NT and Qld.

She specialises in teaching educational concepts through

the medium of theatre and drama.

Georgina continued to incorporate theatre and drama

throughout her teaching career, bringing a touch of silliness

to everyday school life. Georgina’s storytelling enables

children to “jump” into the book and become part of the

story! For Georgina, children are not an audience; they are

active participants in bringing stories to life. Through

movement and sound the words and pictures are lifted o�

the pages.

Storytelling with Georgina is exhausting fun.

Vanessa Perske - IllustratorVanessa is a widely acclaimed self-taught artist. Vanessa is

obsessed with bright lashings of colour and loves to make a

big mess while splashing, pouring and flicking paint.

For Vanessa, artwork must be fun and colourful and really

make you feel good when you observe it.

Events of everyday life will repeatedly catch Vanessa's

attention and her imagination is always bursting full of ideas.

As a mother of two, Vanessa draws inspiration from her

children's free spirits and playfulness.

Vanessa is a qualified primary school teacher who believes

there is no right or wrong in art.

It should be a whole lot of fun.
