WOODLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WEEKLY NOTES January 17, 2018 The next Woodland PTO meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at 6:30 pm in room S212 in the 6th grade pod area. All parents are welcome and free childcare is provided. Friday, January 19th is a 12:00 pm release for all elementary students. The Lawrence University Vikings hockey team takes on Aurora University at Viking Hockey Woodland Night on Friday, January 19th at 7:00 pm. Each student will receive a ticket for admission to the game and tickets will be sent home today, Wednesday, January 17th. Woodland skate night will be held on Tuesday, January 30th at Skate City from 6:00 pm— 8:00 pm. The next book swap will be held on Wednesday, January 31st. Volunteers are needed to make this happen. Please click here to sign up if you are able to help. The Box Top competition is on, so keep sending in those box tops! Not only do the box tops earn money for the school, also the class bringing in the most box tops will win a prize! You can help make the counting easier by cutting them out on the dotted lines (the box top company is very strict about this) and put them in groups of 50 into Ziploc bags. Also, expired box tops are not eligible. Thank you! The PTO is sponsoring a new reading program through the Green Bay Packers, Tundra Tales Reading Program. The program will run from January 22nd through March 25th. Incentives will be given out to those students that meet the reading requirements each week and students completing the program will receive a free ticket to the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.
