Police Visit

Last Thursday, we were lucky enough to have Officer Jonathan and Officer Sarah from the

about what it’s like to be in the Police Force as well as talked the students through the

equipment on their police belts and showed them their car. Some were even lucky enough

to set off the siren!

Junior Room students have

been learning about the author,

Eric Carle. We have read ‘The

Tiny Seed’, ‘The Mixed Up

Chameleon’, ’Draw Me a Star’,

and ’A Home for Hermit Crab’.

During Art lessons with the

Seniors, we have been creating

spectacular artworks based on

these stories. Students have

been learning about different

mediums, lines, texture, using

mixed media, collage and

shapes.

During Maths, students have been

learning about measurement. During

week 1, they planted Giant Tee-pee

Beans. As they grow, students are

making observations about their

plant. They will be measuring its

height, the number of plants and the

number of leaves they have.

Students have also been learning

about the chance of an event

happening.

Creating spectacular boats and then moving

them by pushing and pulling them.

Last Friday the senior room hosted their own Arcade.

During Design and Technology in Term 1, students

planned and created their own arcade games inspired

by the Youtube video, Cain’s Arcade.

We loved sharing our games with our visitors and

reflecng on our creaons!!!
