Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability- NCCD

All schools in Western Australia are part of a national project about students with disability and/or learning difficulties.

We have been asked to provide data about the number and learning needs of children at our school. The name of the school and the name of the students will not be reported. Information about the different types of needs and the programs and resources the school uses to overcome barriers and support children with special educational needs will be collected.

We believe it is important to contribute to this because it will help Governments and the Department develop better policies that acknowledge the level of resources needed in schools to meet the needs of all students in Western Australia.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school or the Western Australian Department of Education NCCD Helpline on 0477 741 598.

Mulch

We have a large pile of mulch that we are selling for $40 (inc GST) per 6 x 4 trailer load. Purchasers must load and remove the mulch. This is a first in, first served offer and mulch can only be purchased and removed during office hours throughout the school term.

School Development Day- Monday 17 July

Monday 17 July is a designated School Development Day. Students do not attend school this day. The first day of Term 3 for students is Tuesday 18 July.

Have a restful and enjoyable holiday!

Kind regards,

Reece Smith l Principal 27 June 2017

Mrs Guest entered a piece of artwork from all of our students into a competition with Therapy Focus for the

chance of it being included into a storybook called “ Ben Tried to Fly”.

From 4341 entries from schools across Western Australia, Bevan’s artwork was selected as one of the 100

finalists. The Therapy Focus Board of Directors will be selecting the 20 winning artwork pieces to be published in

the storybook, with the winners announced in the first week of Term 3.

To view the 100 finalists’ artwork and more information you can go to the Therapy Focus Facebook page.

My favourite memory on camp was

Caving!! I liked caving because the

caves were man made.

The caves were not hard because there

were two ways to go so I went in the

easy one so I didn't hurt my wrist.

Dustin

My favourite memory on camp was

rock climbing. I went all the way to

the top in about 1 minute and 30

seconds 4 times. The teachers were

our safety nets if we slipped.

Stella

My most favourite memory was

Orienteering. I was in a group

of four. My team was Austin,

Thomas. M, Liam and I.

Mitch

The best thing about camp was the bike

pump track. I liked the bike pump

because you can go really fast and you

don’t really have to peddle that much.

Thomas

The best thing about camp was

Orienteering. I was in a group of

four. My group was Austin

(Cascade), Mitch (Scaddan), Thomas

(Salmon Gums) and I.

Liam

The best thing on camp was

definitely the big swing

because I was the first person

to go on it in my group and I

went all the way to the top.

Ollie

My favourite memory from camp was

the big swing. It was so awesome!

You had the adrenalin happening and

the feeling of dropping and then being

pulled up.

Bevan

My favourite memory from camp was

the Flying Fox. I enjoyed it because

there were two of them but one of them

was faster than the other.

Lucy

Woolworths Earn & Learn 2017

Dear Parents,

This year we will be participating in the Woolworths Earn & Learn program. Through this

program we will be able to get new educational resources for our school/early learning

centre – and all we need you to do is shop for your groceries at Woolworths.

From Wednesday 26th July to Tuesday 19th September, we are collecting Woolworths

Earn & Learn Stickers. You will get one Woolworths Earn & Learn Sticker for every $10

spent (excluding liquor, tobacco and gift cards). Place the Woolworths Earn & Learn

Sticker onto a Woolworths Earn & Learn Sticker Sheet and when it’s complete, the Sticker

Sheet can be dropped into the Collection Box here at the school or at your local Wool-

worths.

At the end of the promotion, we’ll be able to get some great new equipment. The range

is extensive and offers lots of items ideal for our students – including resources for Maths,

English, Science and some fantastic fun supplies for Arts & Craft, Sport and for our library.

If you’d like to know more visit woolworths.com.au/earnandlearn
