    pur suant t o subsect i on ( 10) of t hi s sect i on, one or mor e obj ect i ve38

    sect i on, a st udent may use the obj ect i ve al t er nat i ve assessment s t o20

    demonst r at e t hat t he st udent successf ul l y meet s t he st at e st andards21

    f or t hat cont ent ar ea i f t he st udent has t aken t he st at ewi de st udent22

    assessment at l east once. I f t he st udent successf ul l y meet s t he st at e23

    ( 5) The st at e boar d of educat i on may not r equi r e t he acqui si t i on31

    of t he cer t i f i cat e of academi c achi evement f or st udent s i n home- based32

    i nst r uct i on under chapt er 28A. 200 RCW, f or st udent s enr ol l ed i n33

    pr i vat e school s under chapt er 28A. 195 RCW, or f or st udent s sat i sf yi ng34

    t he pr ovi si ons of RCW 28A. 155. 045.35

    assessment s, whi ch may i ncl ude an appeal s process f or st udent s'20

    scor es, f or st udent s t o demonst r at e achi evement of t he st ate academi c21

    st andar ds. The obj ect i ve al t er nat i ve assessment s shal l be compar abl e22

    i n r i gor t o t he ski l l s and knowl edge t hat t he st udent must23

    demonst r at e on t he st at ewi de st udent assessment and be obj ect i ve i n24i t s det er mi nat i on of st udent achi evement of t he st at e st andar ds.25

    or wr i t i ng port i on of t he SAT or t he ACT may be used as an obj ect i ve34

    al t er nat i ve assessment under t hi s sect i on f or demonst r at i ng that a35

    st udent has met or exceeded t he st at e st andar ds f or t he cer t i f i cat e36

    of academi c achi evement . The st at e boar d of educat i on shal l i dent i f y37

    t he scor es st udent s must achi eve on t he r el evant por t i on of t he SAT38

    or ACT t o meet or exceed the st ate st andard i n t he rel evant cont ent39
