Project SHAKTI Overview

Project SHAKTI is an SAP implementation project covering the businesses of L&T Power Ltd., L&T-MHI Boilers Pvt. Ltd. and L&T-MHI Turbine Generators Pvt. Ltd. This project was inaugurated by Mr. Ravi Uppal on 10-Aug-2009 at Hazira Manufacturing Complex. During his inaugural address, Mr. Uppal shared his experiences on businesses run on an SAP environment and vision for this project. He said “A day would come when all of us would use the dashboards from SAP for our business meetings and not prepare Power Point Presentations.”

Project SHAKTI comprises of teams based out of multiple locations (Hazira, Baroda , Faridabad & Mumbai).The technical scope of the project involves not only a Project Delivery scenario but also a Project Manufacturing scenario. 

L&T Infotech Ltd. is the chosen implementation partner for this engagement. They would bring in expertise from similar engagements done earlier in India and abroad. A team of 30 L&T InfoTech Consultants will be working on this engagement. They would be providing the best possible business solution on SAP to the three companies.

 Steering Committee & Project Management Group

Project Steering Committee consists of Mr. Ravi Uppal, Mr. Y.V.S. Sravankumar, Mr.A.S.Lamba, Mr. S.K.Das and Mr. S. Anantha Sayana. The Project Management Group consists of Mr.Parag Nivsarker (L&T Corporate IT), Mr. Ashok Dakshinamurthy (L&T InfoTech), Mr.Juby Balakrishnan / Mr. Isao Miyake (L&T-MHI Boilers Pvt Ltd.) and Mr. Amit Sharma ( L&T-MHI Turbine Generators Pvt. Ltd.)
