Lesson 1 - Use Transaction Codes

Transaction Codes are the foundation of SAP navigation.

Every screen that you run in SAP is defined by a transaction

    code.

Sometimes it will save you time to enter a transaction code

directly into the Command Field found at the top of every

    SAP screen.

    2. How to navigate by entering a transaction code directly

    into the Command Field.

    3. Use special transaction codes (/n & /o).

A Parameter ID (PID) allows you to set a system-wide defaultfor a particular field.

For example: Functional Location. If you know you will use the

same value for Functional Location most of the time, set a

PID so it will default on any screen where you would

otherwise have to input it by hand.

To use PIDs, first we must learn to

    1. Identify whether a field has a PID

    2. Determine the PID label.

    3. Create a PID in User Settings.

Lesson 4 - Set Parameter IDs(Determine Whether Field has a PID)

Lets use Functional Location as an example. First we need todetermine if Functional Location has a PID.

To do that, execute a transaction that has Functional Location

as an entry field, like transaction IH01.

    1. Right click the

    Functional Location

    field.

    2. Select Help
