①Routine hand-washing <Targets: Regular people>

This is a human behavior to wash off dirt and transient bacteria from the hands and fingers with the help of soapy water and running water. Typical examples of this are hand-washing before meals or after defecation.

②Hygienic hand-washing(HHD) <Targets: Food handlers and medical workers>

This hand-washing method is targeted mainly at medical workers and food handlers, and is intended to completely remove transient bacteria from the hands and fingers. Some bacteria normally resident on the surface of skin are also removed. The hand-washing method is classified into two types: Washing hands with running water and a liquid soap or detergent containing disinfectant or antibacterial agents; and rubbing hands with an alcohol formulation. The hand-washing method should generally be practiced in outpatient and inpatient wards.

③Surgical hand-washing(SHD) <Targets: Doctors and nurses>

This hand-washing method achieves the highest level of hygiene. The purpose of the method is not only to remove transient bacteria and normal resident bacteria as much as possible, but also to maintain the disinfected level.

◆Before and after performing medical examinations, attending patients, providing nursing care, and all other medical-related tasks.◆In nurses’ stations, wards, newborn nurseries, toilets, operating

rooms, consulting rooms, linen closets, ICUs, etc.

◆Before and after providing nursing care and all other medical-related tasks.◆In kitchens, medical offices, matron’s offices, toilets, dirty utility

rooms, living rooms, dining rooms, bathrooms, etc.

Germs must not be brought into the plant. For this purpose, we have developed a system that allows the automatic door to open only after workers complete three actions: washing their hands, drying their hands with a hand dryer, and then disinfecting their hands with alcohol. Each worker must complete these three actions whenever he/she returns to the plant from the toilet or other offices. As well as plant workers, the system also requires external personnel seeking to enter the plant to complete the three actions.

Nabtesco provides optimum automatic door systemssuitable for various locations such as food processing plantsand hospitals where sanitary control is required.

Due to changes in eating habits, the internationalization of the production and distribution of farm products, and the increase of imported food, the number of different types of food poisoning affecting consumers has been on the rise. The types of food poisoning related to sanitary control such as food poisoning caused by Salmonella, O157, and staphylococcus aureus have been increasing year by year. Taking measures to prevent incidents such as the inclusion of foreign materials in food is also very important. Nowadays, many food manufacturers are adopting a new quality control system called HACCP. In addition, hospitals and similar facilities are constantly subject to the risk of intramural infection. In response to this, they need to adopt effective sanitary control systems. Being optimized systems, NABCO automatic doors not only both open and close, they also contribute to the sanitary control of various sites such as food processing plants and hospitals.

HACCP stands for “Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points.” As the name implies, HACCP is a combination of hazard analysis (HA) and critical control points (C-CP) and is a system of sanitary and quality management. With this system, food safety is secured by predicting and analyzing the risks (e.g., microbial contamination and foreign material inclusion) that are present in processes related to food production and by setting as well as checking the control items required for preventing the materialization of such risks. HACCP was originally developed as a quality management program by NASA in the 1960s.

【Acquiring HACCP certification】In Japan, each food processing plant for which HACCP-based sanitary control methods are approved by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare is now allowed to use its own original system approved by the regulatory agency to produce and process food, even if the Food Sanitation Law or any other law or regulation defines production or process standards for the food in question. HACCP certification is not given to any particular individual facility or piece of equipment within a plant; it is given to the whole plant. Therefore, secur ing safety and hygiene across the entire plant, including its facilities and equipment, is required.

● Achieving systematic sanitary control by operating in conjunction with various devices.

● Not equipped with any guide rail, where dust or dirt can accumulate.

● Equipped with a hanger rail and sash roller designed to minimize production of abrasion powder.

● Equipped with a sanitary noncontact sensor that can be selected according to the purpose.
