Colour conversions for Sandon Global RedColour conversion is a tricky exercise so we have listed the tools we have used to calculate the various values for core colour systems. However to ensure consistency we require all suppliers using our colour palette to ensure colour proofing is included in their approval process prior to final design, production or processing. ATTENTION:The above applies to all versions of the Sandon Global logo.

Do not distort or skew the logo Always resize proportionately Do not recolour, add to or alter the logo in any way

Do not use the logo over imagery, ensure good legibilityDo not add any effects to the logo.

In order to maintain the integrity of the Sandon Global brand image and corporate identity, never alter or use anything but the approved identities provided inthis toolkit.

08 LOGO PLACEMENTUSAGE AND PREFERENCES

Whenever you use the logo, it should be surrounded with clear space to ensure its visibility and impact.No graphic elements of any kind should invade this zone.

Whenever possible, the logo is required to be placed in the top left or right of a page or graphic.

EPS (Preferred for print and signage)EPS is a vector format and is considered the best choice of graphics format for high resolution printing of illustrations. This is the preferred file for reproducing the Sandon Global logo and brand assets in all cases. Do not try to open an EPS file in normal word-processing software, these files are only intended to be placed into layout software such as Adobe InDesign.

Provide vector graphics where possible for print artwork as a vector image is a scalable, resolution-independent format. Vector images can be resized easily without loss of quality making them an ideal format for the Sandon Global logo and illustrations to be used in multiple sizes.

JPG – Joint Photo Expert GroupFaster file format used for images, pictures. Not good for type, logos, graphic. Use this format only for web assets and assets used by the Sandon Global team in desktop word processing apps.

GIF – Graphic Interchange FormatUse to save graphics to very small file sizes. Can be animated. For web use only.

PNG – Portable Network GraphicThis is the preferred file format for provided digital assets. Can be made transparent. Options are PNG- 8 or PNG- 24 for true transparent effects. Not to be used for print assets.

PDFA file format that you be easily viewed, navigated, printed, or forward to someone else.To be used for all client proof and preview print files.

TIFF – Tagged Image File FormatFor print files only. To be used for print files that include bitmap photography or rasterised assets.

Colour Formats: (Provided in EPS format)Images should be provided in RGB for digital and web based assets. CMYK for print assets. Spot colours can be used for primary Sandon Global brand colours, but should be considered on a job per job basis.

We also have a supporting typeface, Trebuchet MS, which can be used where Century Gothic is not available.

Trebuchet MS plays an important role in maintaining a consistent look and feel for the Sandon Global brand in places such as the email signature.

USE OF BRAND ELEMENTSThe General Rule

We do not allow third parties to use the Sandon Global brand elements unless they have either received prior written permission from us or if the proposed use falls within extremely limited exceptions: see “Limited Exceptions to the General Rule”, page 14.

You must ensure that you adhere to these guidelines or any other guidelines issued from time to time.We may modify these guidelines at any time, for example in relation to size, colour scheme and typeface. Accordingly, you should check the webpage updates to these guidelines to ensure that your use conforms to our current guidelines.

All third parties must gain sign-off from Sandon Global HQ prior to deploying any materials carrying our brand.Please send visuals to [email protected] for approval.

Permission from Sandon Global

If you already have a written agreementIf you already have a written agreement that allows you to use some of the brand elements, that agreement will govern your rights to use those specific elements, in addition to these guidelines. In the event of conflict between your agreement and these guidelines, the terms of your agreement will prevail.

If you do not have a written agreementIf you do not already have a written agreement you must request prior written permission from Sandon Global for your proposed use of the relevant brand elements, unless your use falls within the exceptions, which are listed further on.To request permission, you will need to send an email with your request to [email protected]. Your request should provide details of all the brand elements you wish to use, as well as a detailed proposal of how you will be using those elements. You cannot use the Sandon Global brand elements until we have expressly granted you permission. Any change to your initial proposal requires that you make an additional request for that use. If you receive permission from Sandon Global to use any of the brand elements, these guidelines govern that use, in addition to any specific requirements set out in the permissions. Sandon Global reserves the right to withdraw its permission to use any of its brand elements at any time and in such case you will immediately cease any use and all use of the relevant elements.All licensing agreements with provisions for use of the Sandon Global brand elements must be reviewed and approved by the Sandon Global legal department. Sandon Global retains sole ownership of the Sandon Global brand elements.

Limited Exceptions to the General RuleIf you do not have our express written permission to use the Sandon Global brand elements, you may still use certain word marks such as registered or unregistered Sandon Global trademarks, trade names or service marks (“word marks”). BUT NOT ANY LOGOS, ICONS, CORPORATE SIGNATURES, DOMAIN NAMES OR OTHER SYMBOLS (“brand symbols”), in specific circumstances as set out overleaf. Please follow the guidelines overleaf for permitted uses of our word marks.

Use of Sandon Global word marks to refer factually to our company or our productsYou may use certain word marks in order to identify Sandon Global or its products in compliance with these guidelines.

Use of Sandon Global word marks to indicate compatibility with your productsYou may use certain word marks in order to indicate that your product is compatible or works in conjunction witha Sandon Global product or service in compliance with these guidelines.

Using any Sandon Global brand element in any way that expresses or implies affiliation, association, sponsorship, endorsement, certification or approval with/by Sandon Global unless you have a written agreement with Sandon Global.

Incorporating any Sandon Global brand element or product name into your own product names, service names, trademarks, logos, company names, domain names, keywords and search items etc.

Changing/modifying any Sandon Global brand element, for example, through adding or deleting hyphens, combining words or by using abbreviations of Sandon Global brand element.

Adopting marks, logos or any other feature that are confusingly similar to brand elements; or marketing any product or service name under a name that is confusingly similar to Sandon Global.

Copying or imitating any of the brand elements “look and feel”, brand products, or website, including colour combinations, graphics, typefaces or stylisation used by Sandon Global.

Using Sandon Global brand elements in a manner that would disparage Sandon Global or its products and services.

Using Sandon Global brand elements in relation to products or services or on websites that may be considered to be sexually explicit, vulgar, profane, offensive, obscene, defamatory, libellous, slanderous or otherwise unlawful, religiously, racially offensive or otherwise promoting hate towards individuals or groups, which violate any applicable laws or has been notified to you to be otherwise objectionable to Sandon Global.

When using the name Sandon Global it should never be abbreviated or shortened.
