Are you a SaaS startup looking to increase revenue with zero

budget? Find out how.

The startup community is adorable. Having an idea and trying step by step to make it into a reality is one of the most exciting processes and only those that have been through this can really understand what I am trying to say.

The life inside a startup is difficult, with a lot of ups and downs (9 out of 10 are downs) and you have to know how to handle this situation.

SaaS startups are my favorites and like all startups, they are facing a huge problem. How can they effectively promote their software with little or no budget? Here are some tips:

Through resellers: Did you know that many companies are searching for products like yours to offer to their clients? Truly, there are many out there. It is the most effective way to increase your revenue fast with almost zero budget and to build up your client base, which investors are looking for. Potential investors aren’t interested in SaaS companies that don’t have existing sales. OK, investors are the last thing you have to consider now, the most important thing is to have a healthy growing business. Don’t expect resellers to help you increase your revenue just because you are offering your software. You must offer them additional services such as training, support, and many more.

So, the first thing you have to do is to build a reseller partner program.

Take a look here and learn how to build it: http://blog.elioplus.com/?p=480In order to find resellers for your SaaS, just use Elioplus, a B2B online platform that matches vendors and resellers exclusively in software, SaaS and cloud industries. You can sign up for free as a Vendor, create a profile of your SaaS company and select from 15 partnership criteria those that you are offering on your partner program that I mentioned before. Elioplus has the same data from resellers according to their partnership needs. So, you are getting matched with resellers quickly and accurately in order to penetrate into new markets. Elioplus offers also a 14-day free trial with a specific number of reseller matches for you. You can sign up for free here: https://elioplus.com

Through affiliates or referrals: This is a common practice that many SaaS startups are using in order to find new clients. So, let’s take it one by one.

Affiliates: You can use an affiliate solution (you can search in Google, Yahoo or Bing) and your users will be able to use a unique link and promote it. Then when a paid customer comes through this link you will pay them a small fee.

Referrals: You can use a platform for referrals and if one of your users refers your solution, let’s say to a friend and that friend becomes a client of yours, then you get a small referral fee or you have a discount using this SaaS service. See more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Referral_marketing

Content: You must create a Blog and you have to write articles for topics in your industry that will be valuable to your users. You will gain trust and increase your traffic. This is an investment with zero budget and incredibly valuable for your business.
