“What happens if I’m absent?”

Get the notes from your classmates and the worksheets front of the classroom under “natural science worksheets.” They

are organized by the day of the week. There is also a calendar available with each day’s agenda.

MS. JUMP DOES NOT DISCUSS ABSENCES DURING CLASS TIME.

Do the work at home or see me before/after school.

If you missed a test or a quiz because of your excused absence, inform Ms. Jump and arrange a time to make up the

test outside of class time.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE UP ABSENT WORK. Ms. Jump will not hunt you down to do so.

Page 18: S. ump’s Classroom Policies Natural Science. 03 s. ump’s Learning Philosophy 1.I am here to teach; you are here to learn. I will do my job; you will do

“What happens if I’m tardy?”

You will lose 3 participation points and you will not get credit for the warm-up.

Meeting with your coach or getting something from your locker is NOT an excused tardy.

Page 19: S. ump’s Classroom Policies Natural Science. 03 s. ump’s Learning Philosophy 1.I am here to teach; you are here to learn. I will do my job; you will do

“What happens if I cheat?”

You will receive a ZERO. That is a definitive period!Centennial does not tolerate cheating, nor is it tolerated

by any other part of society. You wouldn’t want me to cheat on grading your assignments, resulting in you not receiving the credit you deserve for all your hard work,

would you? Let’s make a deal for neither of us to cheat!

Page 20: S. ump’s Classroom Policies Natural Science. 03 s. ump’s Learning Philosophy 1.I am here to teach; you are here to learn. I will do my job; you will do

“What happens if I don’t do well on my exam?”

Sometimes we don’t understand the materials the first time. It happens to everyone, even Ms. Jump! This class isn’t about

learning how to take tests; we are learning science! If you do not perform as well as you wished on an exam, you will have the

opportunity to retake it. You may retake a exam up to 3 times, but you will not receive your retakes back.

In order to retake an exam, you must demonstrate that you have

made an effort to re-learn that material. This can be done by receiving help from me outside of class, completing a designated worksheet, or by submitting test corrections with explanations.

See me for these procedures.

You may become be ineligible for this privilege if you have an unacceptable amount of negative behaviors logged on class dojo.

“What happens if I want to know my grade or would like to inquire about missing work?”

MS. JUMP DOES NOT DISCUSS GRADES DURING

CLASSTIME!

You can access your grades on Q. If you do not know how to access it, please go to the library.

Ms. Jump will post grades after each exam.
