• Bharti Foundation

– Bharti Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Bharti Group Companies.

– The prime objective is to bridge the existing education divide and make quality education accessible to underprivileged children in rural India.

– The Foundation aims to help underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential.

• Satya Bharti School Program

– The Satya Bharti School Program is the flagship program of Bharti Foundation.

– It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus on the girl child across rural India.

– Present Operational Status:

• Number of Schools Operational: 250

• States of Operation: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh & Tamil Nadu

• Number of Students Enrolled: Over 32,000

About the Community

• Geographical Location:• Anhi is a very small village of Block-Amer, Dist- Jaipur (Raj)• -It is established on N.H. 11C (Jaipur Delhi Highway)• Cultural Background:

– People completely depends on their traditional occupation. – People are very simple in nature.– They Belongs to GADIYA LUHAR community. They make Iron Item and

earn money for two time food.

About the community

• Role of Satya Bharti School in the Village:– Satya Bharti School is as a Model School of the village.– It’s an educational temple For the underprivileged children.– where“ Dreams get Wings.”

• Participation in ‘Design for Giving’ School Contest:– The participation of the community in ‘Design for Giving’

School Contest is very supportable and acceptable. – They have promised to save the tree.

We ‘Felt’:

>When our teacher’s and students discussed that what is the major problem of village. Then we think there are

More area of forest nearby village, in which villager’s Cut green tree’s.

These situation effects our environment, we thinkthat we can change this situation, because plant useful

for us & how we destroying our environment.

We ‘Imagined’:

Problem is not easy to solve but this is not impossible so we

delivered our idea to villager’s.All people know the value of “The

Tree” and help to maintain this project.

To achieve our goal, we have design a campaign named

“Ped lagao jivan bachao”we have planned to start

this campaign from 1sept.2011 during DFC contest 2011.

• We organized a rally to aware community and delivered our message through slogans..

• “dharti ka shringar ped hai,jivan ka adhar ped hai”

• “ghar ghar alakh jagana hai,har vayakti ko ek ped lagana hai”

We ‘Did’:

we went door to door to aware but some people are disagree because they cut green tree’s for their many uses but when

students make them understand then they got agree for

plantation in village with

us.....

Students of school are well sensitized about their environment The students with community members organized plantation program in the village.

Impact on Us:

Experience of Teachers& Students:-

•Quote of Head teacher “This is very effective program, it may be organize continuously because through this program we can remove many problem and save our environment.

•Sunita kumhar (teacher) “ I have seen today that our school’s children can help to remove social problems. I had confident on my children”.

• Community Member told “ hum ab kabhi bhi bachho ke samane ped nahin katenge or our agar katna pade to uski jagah dusra ped lagayenge.

• Mohan lal Sharma “ Main har saal 30 plant school ko dunga .

• Kali luhar “ humko aaj bahut choki jankari mili chha, ab hum humare aas-pas kisi ko Hara ped nahi katne denge.
