APPLICATIONS The angle bracket allows the transfer of lateral shear loads (F23) in wood-to-cement and wood-to-wood junctions

The junction can be obtained using a single angle bracket or 2 angle brackets installed symmetrically

Wood-to-cement junction

1 The fixing of the anchors into the cement must be verified separately based on the loads stressing the anchors and that can be defined via the K t coefficients the K t coefficients vary in

function of the installation and are indicated on the following page the anchors are affected by a lateral shear load equivalent to F lat = K t bull F23 where F23 = Shear load acting on the

vertical flange of the angle bracket

2 In compliance with the ETA-110496 the computational model takes into account experimental tests eccentricity e equals the distance between the mass centre of the nails of the

vertical flange and the application point of the shear load for such an eccentricity value (due to experimentally observed torsions) the strengths of the vertical flange and of the

horizontal flange coincide thus determining the resistive equilibrium of the junction in function of this eccentricity shear strength is given directly in the ETA-110496 as indicated in

the tables on the following page
