Room 12’s Homework Policy Ms. Mead Students are required to read for at least 20 minutes (30 minutes preferred) each night and fill out their reading log Monday through Thursday night for each week. The reading log is due daily, with their homework folder, with a parent/guardian signature, and a new reading log is issued every month. If additional copies are needed please print a copy from our classroom Website. Parents/guardians are asked to monitor their child’s reading daily. The students receive various homework, in different content areas each week to provide them with practice on subjects already learned in class. Homework goes home each Monday in the student’s homework folder and the homework sheet is due the following Monday with completed homework. Math is sent home daily and is due the following day. Other than reading and completing the reading log, typical weekly homework may include: 1. Math 2. Writing (journal prompts/free writing/creative writing) 3. Word Study 4. Social Studies/Science 5. Spelling Each homework folder provides support for the student.
