Specify with confidence
To help smooth out the process of specifying and ordering AC Drives and related ancillaries, Rockwell
Automation has introduced a configured drives service that is designed to fulfil the needs of a wide
variety of industrial applications. This configured drives approach allows you to choose a base drive
package and then enhance it with numerous options in line with the needs of the end application. The
options are designed to add functionality or features in line with the demands of the end application. All
configured drives are assembled and tested in accordance with ISO9001 and comply with EEC directives
73/23 (Low-Voltage Directive), 89/336 (Machinery Directive) and EN 61800-3 (EMC Directives).
The significant expertise and production resources available to Rockwell Automation mean that even
the most demanding drive system specification can be met cost-effectively and efficiently. Whether off-
the-shelf or configured, each Allen-Bradley drive system receives the same attention to detail and is
produced to the same high standard of manufacturing, meaning that you can specify Allen-Bradley
with confidence, no matter what the application.

POWERFLEX CONFIGURED AC DRIVES
HOW TO SPECIFY YOUR DRIVETo allow your Configured AC Drive to be supplied as quickly as possible, a detailed specification is required. Thefollowing information is intended to help you specify your drive.
A list of standard options are available and a selection table on page 14 is available to help you specify your drive.
DRIVE SPECIFICATIONAllows you to choose the drive type for motor control that you require and specify the power rating, supplyvoltage and network communication option.
INPUT PROTECTION OPTIONSAllows you to specify items such as circuit breaker or disconnect switch, input contactor and line reactor.
OUTPUT OPTIONSSpecifying the cable length between the drive and the motor allows the factory to select appropriate output filteroptions for optimum operation and reliability.
ENCLOSURE OPTIONSAllows you to specify the IP rating of your configured AC drive, select door mounted options such as HIM (HumanInterface Module), Emergency Stop button, cable entry and plinths options.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONALITYThese additionals allow you to specify functionality to embed in the configured drive solution such as Logiccontroller, I/O configurations, safety functionality and many more.
